Himmata Ram Bhambhu, a nature lover, conservationist and environmentalist won Padma Shri in 2020.

He has been involved in planting and preserving trees and motivating people for nature conservation in forest deficit districts (Rajasthan) like Nagaur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sikar, Ajmer etc. since last 25 years.
He has also worked actively to eliminate illegal smuggling of blackbucks, chinkaras, peacocks and poaching.
He has been associated with Mahavir International Sansthan Nagaur for Green India Mission since 2013.
He has developed a unique integrated agro-forestry plantation and biodiversity conservation centre.
The green patch he has created at village Harima, Rajasthan has become a unique rehabilitation center for Peacocks, Chinkaras and other various rare wild birds and animals.
He was awarded by UNESCO in 1999 for environmental protection and he is also an awardee of Rajiv Gandhi Environment Protection Award-2014.
