41st Ramayana Fair in Ramnagari Ayodhya
Why In News?
On November 27, 2022, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 41st Ramayana Fair to be held in Ramnagari Ayodhya in a traditional way. This Fair will run till November 30, 2022.

- This Fair is organized every year with the cooperation of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the members of the Ramayana Fair Committee to restore the cultural and spiritual glory of India.
- Ashish Kumar Mishra, convenor of the Ramayana Fair Committee, said that in the poster inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in the sequence of the second day program of the Ramayana fair, the arrival of Ram Baraat, the ritual of worshiping the feet, the fire of the four brothers. And the Leela of all the bride and groom seeking blessings from the sages has been depicted.
- Vaishnavi Gupta and Priya Gupta have done the work of carving this cover image. The cover image displays the folk art of Awadh based on Indian folk art. Earlier, the first poster was launched from the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
- The Ramayana Fair in Ayodhya was started in 1982 by the then Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shripati Mishra. He had announced the Ram Ki Paidi project in the inaugural session itself. For four consecutive days at the first Ramayana Fair, the ministers announced different development plans, which are prominent in the development plans of this time.
- In the first Ramayana Fair itself, work was started by announcing the construction of Ram Katha Park for the construction of Ram Katha Park for the construction of the parikrama route, extension of the Saryu coast from Naya Ghat to Guptar Ghat and cultural development.

'Gangajal Supply Scheme'
Why In News?
On November 27, 2022, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched the ambitious 'Gangajal Supply Scheme' in Rajgir.
Key Points
- This is the chief minister's unique vision of taking surplus water from river Ganga to water-stressed cities in south Bihar and using it as drinking water under a far-reaching campaign 'Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali'. The ambitious 'Ganga Water Supply Scheme' was approved in a special cabinet meeting held in Gaya in December 2019 under his chairmanship.
- Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the Water Resources Department has worked with alacrity and completed such a big scheme in less than three years despite the challenges of the Corona period.
- Ganga water has been transported from Hathidah to Rajgir, Gaya, Bodh Gaya and Nawada through 11 powerful pumps. A detention centre has been set up in Rajgir.
- 151 km through Ganga water pipeline. After traveling it has reached the reservoirs of Rajgir, Gaya and Bodh Gaya, from where it will be purified and quench the thirst of millions of people daily in the form of pure drinking water.
- Under this scheme, Gangajal will be supplied as pure drinking water to about 8031 houses in 19 wards of Rajgir city, about 75000 houses in 53 wards of Gaya city and about 6000 houses in 19 wards of Bodh Gaya city. Under the scheme, the target is to supply 135 liters of pure water per person per day.
- Apart from this, water will also be supplied to the city's institutions, hospitals, hotels etc., so that pure water can be supplied to the large number of tourists and devotees coming to these cities. Ganga water will also be supplied to the animals and plants of Nature Safari kept in Rajgir Zoo Safari.
- On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Jarasandh Memorial would be built near the Jarasandh Akhara. This will enhance the knowledge of the tourists.

Construction of Reservoirs on the Sei and Sabarmati River
Why In News?
On November 27, 2022, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved a financial provision of Rs 2554.23 crore for the construction of reservoirs on Sei and Sabarmati river in Kotra tehsil of Udaipur. This decision of the Chief Minister will ensure drinking water supply in Pali and Sirohi districts.

- According to the proposal, water from reservoirs being constructed on Sei and Sabarmati rivers will be released into Jawai dam through pressurized pipeline, gravity pipeline and tunnel.
- On completion of the construction of reservoirs, the drinking water system of 9 towns of Pali district (Pali, Rohat, Jaitaran, Sumerpur, Bali, Desuri, Sojat, Raipur, Marwar Junction), 560 villages and Shivganj town of Sirohi district as well as 178 villages will also be strengthened.
- It is noteworthy that in the budget for the year 2022-23, the Chief Minister had announced the construction of reservoirs on Sei and Sabarmati rivers in Kotra tehsil of Udaipur to ensure drinking water supply in Pali and Sirohi districts.

Rajasthan Ranks Third in the Country in Dealing with IED

On November 26, 2022, the Rajasthan Police team bagged the third position in the National Counter IED (Improvised Explosive Device) competition held at the National Security Guard (NSG) Manesar.

- The Rajasthan Police team led by Deputy SP Narendra Singh of the Chief Minister's Security Cell, New Delhi, won the title in the competition held from 21 to 26 November.
- The Director General of NSG felicitated the Rajasthan Police team by presenting the trophy to Deputy SP Narendra Singh.
- Police and security forces from all over the country participated in this competition held every year at NSG Manesar, in which 16 jawans of Rajasthan Police performed well under the leadership of Deputy SP Narendra Singh.

On November 26, 2022, on the occasion of National Milk Day, Dr. Sanjeev Balyan, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Government of India, awarded the second prize to Hari Singh Godara of Rajasthan's Ganganagar district for his excellent performance in artificial insemination work, in a program organized in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

- This award is given for the first, second and third places. The first prize winner is Rs 5 lakh, while the second prize winner will get Rs 3 lakh and the third prize winner will get Rs 2 lakh.

NQAS Certification at Sub Health Center Level
Why In News?
On November 27, 2022, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued the NQAS certificate after inspection and evaluation of Amleshwar in Durg district and Nisda Health and Wellness Center sub health center in Raipur district. With this, Chhattisgarh became the fourth state in the country to get NQAS (National Quality Assurance Standard) certification at the sub-health center level.
Key Points
- Amleshwar Health and Wellness Centre Sub Health Centre has scored 94 percent and Nisda 93 Percent in the evaluation of services by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Both the health centres were evaluated by the central team in July this year.
- Health and Wellness Centre National Quality Assurance Standard Certification of sub-health centres is done on the basis of 12 standards. For this, the quality of parameters such as service delivery, patient satisfaction, clinical services, inputs, infection control, support services, quality management, output is evaluated by the organization. Quality certificates are issued by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare only to hospitals that meet the assessment.
- The objective of national quality assurance standard certification is to provide quality health facilities to the general public by strengthening the facilities of hospitals.
- Amleshwar's Health and Wellness Centre has become the first National Quality Assurance Certified Sub Health Centre in Chhattisgarh state.
- Telemedicine facility is available in the hospital here. Through this, diseases are not only tested at the local level, but medical examination of the patients is done by connecting to the big hospital through teleconferencing. For example, in the case of mental illness, experts from NIMHANS, Bengaluru, a well-known organization of the country, join. Similarly, in other diseases too, there is constant contact with the health centers.
- Due to good treatment, people come a lot and help in marking diseases like heart disease, cancer etc. early. Along with this, institutional delivery facility is also available here.
- It is worth mentioning that so far a total of 57 hospitals in the state have received the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate. These include ten district hospitals, seven community health centres, 26 primary health centres, 12 urban primary health centers and two sub health centres.

Air Service for Gauchar and Chinyalisaur
Why In News?
On November 27, 2022, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in Delhi and urged him to start air services to Gauchar and Chinyalisaur. This was agreed by the Union Minister.
Key Points
- Under the 'UDAN scheme', air services to Gauchar and Chinyalisaur will be started soon. It will operate a 20-seat fixed wing aircraft. The next tender of the scheme will include air service of both places.
- Apart from this, work orders have been issued to SpiceJet and Big Chartered Airline to start fixed wing aircraft services from Pithoragarh.
- The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to direct Pawan Hans to operate services in Pithoragarh in an uninterrupted and time-bound manner. He informed the Union Minister that the Airport Authority of India has to submit the survey report in December itself to develop Pantnagar Airport as an international airport.
- The Chief Minister urged to take an early decision for the expansion of Pantnagar Airport. In order to expand the Jolly Grant Airport as per the standards of the international airport, it was also requested to conduct a physical survey of the land through the Airport Authority of India. Union Minister Scindia assured the CM that all proposals related to air service in Uttarakhand would be implemented soon.
