15 Minority Government Residential Schools will be Constructed in the State

Why In News?

On July 25, 2023, according to the information provided by the Information and Public Relations Department of Rajasthan, government minority residential schools will be operated at 15 places in the state to provide free residential education facilities to the students of minority communities.

Key Points:

  • Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a financial proposal of Rs 120 crore for the construction of buildings of residential schools. With this decision of the Chief Minister, it will be easier for the minority students to get education.
  • According to the information, Government minority residential schools will be set up for girls in Ramgarh of Alwar, Nagar of Bharatpur, Ramzan gafan (Chauhtan) of Barmer and Sedwa and Sarwad of Ajmer, and for boys Jodhpur, Jhunjhunu, Kota, Tonk, Bikaner, Sikar, Pahari and Kaman of Bharatpur, Jetdasar (Bap) of Jodhpur, Nachna (Pokaran) of Jaisalmer.
  • 8 crore will be spent on the construction of each residential school. This residential school will have a capacity of 100 students and if there are more students than the capacity, they will be given admission as day-scholars.
  • It is noteworthy that in the budget of the year 2023-24, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced the opening of minority boys/girls residential schools.

World's First Heritage Chambal Riverfront Prepared in Kota

Why In News?

On July 25, 2023, according to the information received from the media, the world's first heritage riverfront was prepared on the banks of the Chambal river in Kota, which is called Kashi of education.

Key Points::

  • This Heritage Chambal River Front built in Kota has been developed at a cost of Rs 1200 crores, which has been built on both the banks of the Chambal river in a very beautiful manner up to 6 km.
  • Chambal Riverfront is the first heritage riverfront developed in India. 26 ghats have been constructed on both sides of this river front. These ghats have been prepared on different themes.
  • The settlements situated on the banks of the Chambal river from the Chambal river front will get relief from floods, along with trapping of 14 dirty drains falling into the Chambal river, the drain water has been filtered through STP, which will also purify Chambal water.
  • 9 famous buildings and architectures from different countries of the world have been built on the World Heritage Ghat built on the Chambal River Front. Just as the Seven Wonders Park has been built on the banks of the Kishore Sagar pond, where seven wonders of the country and the world have been built, on the same lines, the artwork of nine famous buildings of the world has been built on the World Heritage Ghat of the riverfront.
  • These architectures have been built one after the other in an area of about 240 meters, in which India's pride Red Fort, Gopuram Temple, Chinese Pagoda, History Park, West Minster, Tavy Fountain, Varam Temple, Masku and Louvre Museum will be seen.
  • UIT Special Officer RD Meena said that Chambal River Front will not be seen anywhere else in the country and the world except Kota. The Chambal River Front will be inaugurated in the coming August. After this it will be opened for tourists.
  • The country's largest Nandi idol has been made here on the banks of the Chambal river, while tourists will also be able to see the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Not only this, the largest statue of Chambal Mata and the world's largest bell will also be seen by tourists on the Chambal River Front on the banks of Chambal.
  • According to RD Meena, the face mask of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru has also been made on the riverfront. From the backside of this face mask, people will be able to go inside the mask and see the view of the river front through their eyes. Barrage Garden has also been developed on the lines of Vrindavan Garden on the riverfront.
  • RD Meena said that on the lines of Barcelona Fountain, a fountain has also been made here. Tourists coming here will be able to enjoy a fountain show with colorful lights and music. Apart from this, a museum is being built in Mukut Mahal.
  • The riverfront has an invisible structure in the posture of yoga, which is visible only when viewed from both sides (right and left), but disappears when viewed from the front. It is made from stainless steel.
  • Apart from this, the country's first LED garden has also been built here. People coming here will see LED elements instead of real trees, plants and birds. Zodiac Ghats have also been developed in the eastern zone of the riverfront, which have different zodiac signs.
  • A beautiful building exactly like the Thai Temple has been built on that riverfront. Small restaurants have also been built here, in which tourists can enjoy Mughlai in the Red Fort building, South in Gopuram building, and Chinese cuisine in the Chinese building.
  • Here the bravery of Pannadhay Hadi Rani will also be seen, the Hadauti Ghat has been built on the eastern end. Taragarh Fort, an umbrella of 84 pillars built in the Bundi style, has also been built. A water park musical zone has also been made in the special kids zone for children on the riverfront.
  • Here artists will also be able to give their presentations and people will be able to sit and listen. Along with this, statues of 5 litterateurs have also been installed. There will be a library here, in which the visiting tourists will be able to read books.
  • According to RD Meena, there will be different types of fountains on the riverfront, while 9 lions have been installed in Singh Ghat with white marble. There will also be a small market on the Chambal river front and boating and cruising will also operate here.

Vivekananda Youth Hostel will be opened in 28 Districts of the State

Why In News?

On July 26, 2023, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved a financial proposal of Rs 78.18 crore for the construction of Vivekananda Youth Hostels in 28 districts of the state to provide accommodation facilities to the students of the state in the district headquarters for preparing for competitive examinations. given.

Key Points:

  • A provision of Rs 84 lakh has also been made for alternative arrangements till the construction of Vivekananda Youth Hostel is completed. These hostels will have 50-50 residential capacity.
  • It may be noted that in Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota, youth homes are already operated by the Government of India and the State Government. Therefore, with the opening of hostels in the remaining 28 districts, the youth of all the districts will get better facilities.
  • It is noteworthy that the announcement in this regard was made by the Chief Minister in the budget for the year 2023-24.

The Governor Approved the Notification Proposals of the State Government

Why In News?

On July 25, 2023, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra approved various notification proposals of the state government.

Key Points:

  • The Governor has approved the proposal notification of the state service, under which, like the selection in IAS from other services (Rajasthan Contractual Appointment to Civil Post Rule 2022), contract workers will also get the benefit of the service done in the past.
  • The cabinet order has approved the proposal to issue amendment notification regarding giving benefits to the contract workers for their service before coming under the new contract rules.
  • Similarly, the Governor has also approved the proposed amendment to the provision related to giving weightage to general knowledge of Rajasthan in Stenographer, Personal Assistant course in Ministerial Service Rules related to Government Secretariat, Subordinate Offices and Rajasthan Public Service Commission.
  • The Governor has issued an amendment in various service rules to forward their vacancies for three recruitment years in case of non-availability of eligible candidates for direct recruitment of backward and extremely backward classes like Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by the Department of Personnel of the State Government. The notification proposal has also been approved.
  • Under bringing uniformity in all service rules, the proposed notification has been approved for amendment in sub-rule four of 'Reservation of Vacancies for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes'. With the implementation of this amendment notification in the service rules, the provisions of January 17, 2013 will come into force.
