IITF: E- Cycle Made with Modern Technology Seen in Haryana Pavilion

Why In News?

According to the information received from the Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Languages of Haryana on November 22, 2023, e-cycle made with modern technology has also been included in the Haryana Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2023 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Which will be helpful in saving the environment along with health.

Key Points:

  • Startup Vikas Yadav has brought the project of e-cycling made in Haryana. Vikas has earlier worked in the famous company 'Tesla' in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. He lost his job during the Covid pandemic, after which he returned to India and started his own startup in his native Rewari, Haryana.
  • Considering the situation at that time and the health of the general public, he decided to make an e-cycle. Inspired by the slogan of Make in India, Vikas made 'Make in Haryana' his goal.
  • He prepared a battery pack from Panasonic battery cells which is perfect for e-cycle. This e-cycle has been prepared keeping in mind all sections of the society. In this e-cycle, it costs only Rs 3 to travel 50 to 60 kilometers in rural areas and in urban areas it costs up to Rs 5.
  • He told that this is the first bicycle company in India which has the options of front drive, mid drive and rear drive in e-cycle. Vikas has sent samples for export abroad to Korea, Netherlands and South Africa. this startup of his  Very good response has been seen in foreign countries also.
  • It is noteworthy that many such startups related to Haryana have been given place in IITF 2023 in which small businessmen related to MSME from different areas of the state participated.
  • Their start up will prove helpful to the common man in protecting the environment and getting rid of pollution as well as in getting rid of traffic jams. Along with this, it will also help in improving health.
