Now Multi-Storey Shopping Complexes Can be Built in the Closed Cinema Halls of Cities
Why In News?
According to information received from the media on November 23, 2023, the Uttar Pradesh state government has given permission to the operators of cinema halls that have been closed for years to build a multi-storey complex.
Key Points:
- Special Secretary, Housing Department, Uday Bhanu Tripathi has issued a government order in this regard after the consent of the State Tax Department.
- Now a multi-storey complex can be built on the land of such a cinema hall on the basis of land use prescribed in the master plan. Before passing the map, no objection certificate related to entertainment tax will have to be obtained.
- It should be noted that about 800 single screen cinema halls have been closed in the state and about 150 are on the verge of closure. Single screen cinemas are mostly located in the older denser areas of the city.
- Despite the closure of the cinema hall, its land is not being used. Due to this, the cinema hall owner as well as the government is losing revenue. Considering these conditions, the government has given permission to build a multi-storey building on the land of a single screen cinema hall.

Bison Census Started in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve

A three-day Gaur count started in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve on November 23, 2023. The census data will be sent to the office of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve on November 25.

- Assistant Director of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Vivek Singh said that a three-day Gaur count is being conducted in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. After collecting the data, the figures of bison in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve will be revealed.
- Officers and employees of all the areas of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve are engaged in Gaur (Bison) census. About seven hundred employees of the Tiger Reserve are engaged in the counting of bison.
- Officers and employees of all the areas of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve will roam on foot from 6 to 9 am to count the bison. These people will fill the form with photo, GPS location and time of bison sighting and will also send the data to the office of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve on 25th November.
- It may be noted that in 2012, bison were brought from Kanha National Park and settled in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. After that a continuous increase in the number of bison has also been seen. Bison are counted every four years.
- Bison are mainly seen in Tala, Magadhi and Kallawah regions. It is estimated that there will be around 150 bison in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in 2023.

Which will be helpful in saving the environment along with health.

- Startup Vikas Yadav has brought the project of e-cycling made in Haryana. Vikas has earlier worked in the famous company 'Tesla' in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. He lost his job during the Covid pandemic, after which he returned to India and started his own startup in his native Rewari, Haryana.
- Considering the situation at that time and the health of the general public, he decided to make an e-cycle. Inspired by the slogan of Make in India, Vikas made 'Make in Haryana' his goal.
- He prepared a battery pack from Panasonic battery cells which is perfect for e-cycle. This e-cycle has been prepared keeping in mind all sections of the society. In this e-cycle, it costs only Rs 3 to travel 50 to 60 kilometers in rural areas and in urban areas it costs up to Rs 5.
- He told that this is the first bicycle company in India which has the options of front drive, mid drive and rear drive in e-cycle. Vikas has sent samples for export abroad to Korea, Netherlands and South Africa. this startup of his Very good response has been seen in foreign countries also.
- It is noteworthy that many such startups related to Haryana have been given place in IITF 2023 in which small businessmen related to MSME from different areas of the state participated.
- Their start up will prove helpful to the common man in protecting the environment and getting rid of pollution as well as in getting rid of traffic jams. Along with this, it will also help in improving health.

First Regional Investors Conference held in Rudrapur in Uttarakhand

The first regional investor conference was organized in Rudrapur under the Global Investor Summit in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on November 22, 2023.

- In the regional investors conference, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that after signing agreements worth several crores in the country and abroad, a proposal for investment worth Rs 12,000 crore has been received in Uttarakhand. The state has signed a total investment agreement of Rs 1.5 lakh crore.
- The Chief Minister said that industrialists from London, Dubai, Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad have been contacted for the development and expansion of industries and setting up new industries. Talks have also been held with industrialist Mukesh Ambani for investment in Uttarakhand. Companies like ITC Company, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland etc. will invest in the state.
- He said that 27 new policies are being made to promote tourism and industries. Adventure-tourism will be promoted in the state.
- The Chief Minister said that the industrialists are the brand ambassadors of Uttarakhand. The third decade of the 21st century belongs to Uttarakhand with the contribution of the people of the industrial group. He said that 6000 acres of land bank is available in Haridwar and US Nagar.
