India's lightest bullet Proof Jacket will be Manufactured in Haryana

Why In News?

• On February 22, 2023, Haryana's Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala told in the sixth meeting of CII's North Zone Regional Council held in Chandigarh that India's lightest bullet proof jacket will now be manufactured in Haryana.

• Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that the state government is committed to provide the best ecosystem to the industries in the state and it is also working on many world-class infrastructure projects.
• He informed that recently Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), Hyderabad has set up its new Armouring Unit spread over 10 acres at IMT, Rohtak district of the State to meet the operational requirement of Defence and Armed Police Forces.
• MIDHANI Industries is the first Defence PSU to set up its manufacturing plant in Haryana, which will produce almost all types of armoured products for security forces, and it will manufacture 'Bhabha Kavach - India's Lightest Bullet Proof Jacket'.
• In the North Zone Regional Council meeting of CII, the deputy Chief minister also informed that the Haryana government is planning to build a Global City at Gurugram, an Integrated Multi Modal Logistics Hub at Narnaul, an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster at IMT Sohna and an Integrated Aviation Hub at Hisar.
