Indo-Israel Trauma Course Inaugurated

Why In News? 

  • On February 24, 2023, Prof. Saurabh Singh, in-charge of BHU Trauma Center, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, explained how people can be taken to trauma centers during disaster management, where they can be treated better. Regarding this, second Indo-Israel trauma course is being organized at BHU Trauma Center from 24 to 26 February.

  • In charge of BHU Trauma Center Prof. Saurabh Singh said that a five-member medical team has been called from Israel for organizing the Indo-Israel Trauma Course. 
  • He said that before the event, the team members inquired about the arrangements for treatment, investigation, etc. of the patients in the trauma center. In the trauma course, 39 GTC personnel, selected personnel of NDRF, Police, PAC personnel RPF, CRPF will undergo training in the trauma course.  
  • In the event, Disaster Management will be discussed in detail by Prof. Michael (Mickey) Halberthal, Director, RAMBAM HCC in Israel, along with other members of his team, Prof. Amit Gupta, Senior, Department of Trauma Surgery, AIIMS, New Delhi.

Now Film, Acting Studies will be Done in Bihar

Why In News?

  • According to the information received from the media on February 24, 2023, studies from film, acting to production are going to start in Bihar. For this, an agreement will be signed with India's best film acting school.

  • The Film and Television Institute of India in Pune will offer training courses related to acting, direction, script writing, editing sound recording sound design, art direction, production design, acting, dancing as well as other film-related training to the youth of Bihar.
  • An agreement for this is expected to be signed between Aryabhata University, Bihar Film Development Corporation and Pune FTII in April.
  • According to an official of the Art and Culture Department, many courses of film making will be started in Bihar. Where there about 40 seats in a course can be, but the number of seats is not fixed yet. It can increase or decrease.
  • He said that first the students will decide which courses they want to do. Admission will be done accordingly. People undergoing training here will get the first chance to work in films made in Bihar.
  • After the signing of the agreement, renowned teachers and artists from Pune and Mumbai will come to Bihar to train courses related to filmmaking, especially renowned artists from Bihar, to attend training camps and seminars, the official said.
  • In this, the list of other artists along with Prakash Jha, Shatrughan Sinha, Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Bajpayee, Neetu Chandra etc. is also being prepared.

Short Film Competition Under 'DISHA' Scheme

Why In News? 

  • On February 24, 2023, this year's short film competition will be organized in the tribal-dominated Jagdalpur town located in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh state, under the 'Disha' scheme being run under the joint aegis of the Department of Justice and NALSA, Government of India.

  • In this competition, short films of 5 to 10 minutes duration can be prepared on the theme of Justice Department and NALSA's 'Disha' scheme and presented to the District Legal Services Authority or Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority by March 15. 
  • Any government, semi-government department, private person, organization or any institution can participate in this competition.  
  • The first, second and third prizes will be given to the participants.  
  • Apart from this, other short films related to legal awareness (on 'DISHA' and other topics) non-competition can be submitted in category, they can also be screened.  
  • It is known that under the 'DISHA' scheme, the work of providing legal assistance through mobile and video and through the Public Information Center (Common Service Center) is being done in all the District Legal Service Authorities of Chhattisgarh state and for this, a tele-advocate has also been appointed for each district.

  • According to the information received from the media on February 24, 2023, on the lines of Anganwadi workers of Uttarakhand, now preparations are on to give honorarium to the food mothers working in government schools of the state on retirement at the age of 60 years. Its proposal has been prepared by the department and sent to the government.

  • It is noteworthy that on the retirement of Anganwadi workers working under the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development, an amount of Rs 30,000 is given from the Women's Welfare Fund, whereas on the retirement of mothers preparing mid-day meals for children in government schools.   • The proposal prepared by the department to give honor money to food mothers on retirement is of two types.
  • In the first proposal, it has been told that a contribution of Rs 144 should be taken from the food mothers every month or it should be deposited on behalf of the government, by doing this they will get an amount ranging from Rs 8654 to Rs 51923 after leaving the service.
  • Under the second proposal, food mothers will be given an amount ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 when they retire in 60 years.
  • It is worth mentioning that in the state, food mothers are being given an honorarium of Rs 3000 every month. In this, 900 rupees are given by the central government and 2100 rupees are given by the state government.
  • According to the departmental officials, a proposal has been sent to the Central Government to increase the honorarium from Rs.3000 to Rs.5000.
