Agra Master Plan-2031
Why in News
- Recently the 'Agra Master Plan – 2031' has been made public by the Agra Development Authority. In this the proposal of Taj Heritage area from Taj Mahal and Mahtab Bagh to Rambagh has been included. Under this, many new rules have been made.
Key Points
- For the first time in Agra Master Plan-2031, the authority has constituted the Taj Heritage Area, in which three rules have been included. Apart from the Taj, no construction will be allowed within 100 meters from the monuments in the Taj Heritage Area, which extends on both sides of the Yamuna till Rambagh.
- Under the rule, buildings with one storey or 3.75 meters high and two storeys i.e. more than 7.50 meters will not be allowed on the approval of the Archeological Department from 100 to 300 meters, i.e. between Taj to Rambagh, two storeys high on both sides. Buildings cannot be built. With this, malls, apartments, multi-storey buildings will not be constructed on the banks of Yamuna.
- The authority has made the order of the Supreme Court a part of the master plan, under which no construction can be done within 500 meters of the Taj Mahal. After this, not more than one storey building will be built from 500 meters to 750 meters and two-storey buildings from 750 meters to one kilometer away. There shall be no such constructions, towers and reconstructions which would impair the view of the Taj's background from the southern gate platform.
- Industrial units operating in residential areas of the proposed Taj Heritage Area on either side of the Yamuna river from Taj to Rambagh will be shifted. Industrial units including chain factories are running on the banks of river Yamuna in the colonies near Balkeshwar, Katra Wazir Khan, Rambagh.
- In the Agra Master Plan-2031, the units operating in the entire Taj Heritage area will be shifted to the industrial areas proposed in the master plan. Along with this, it is also proposed to take out the wholesale markets running in the city. Parking and other services will be provided on the vacant land of the mandis which will be shifted out of the city and only retail shops will be developed.

Banaras is the Third Most Polluted City in the Country
Why in News
- According to the list of top-10 polluted cities across the country released on January 22, 2022, Banaras was the third most polluted city in the country. Nine cities of the state are included in the list of top ten polluted cities.
Key Points
- Jaunpur was the second most polluted city in the country. The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Jaunpur was recorded at 325 and that of Banaras was recorded at 282. While Jaunpur is at number two, Banaras is third.
- According to the data released by IQAir, Banaras is in the Orange Zone with 282 AQI. The most polluted areas in the city were from Balabhadra Colony, Ramnagar, Saket Nagar, Jangambari, Nati Tamarind Road, Fish Market and Lanka.
- The top ten polluted cities are- 1. Ghatampur-333, 2. Jaunpur-325, 3. Varanasi-282, 4. Sitapur-264, 5. Madiyahun-258, 6. Unnao-236, 7. Nanpara-227, 8. Patna-222, 9. Akbarpur-219, 10. Kanpur-204

- On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose on 23rd January 2022, the Subhash Ward and the developed museum in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Central Jail, Jabalpur have been opened to the general public.
Key Points
- Just as the Cellular Jail in Andaman and Nicobar has been developed as Veer Savarkar Memorial, similarly Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Central Jail in Jabalpur has been developed. Among these, mainly used items of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose such as his clothes, the shackles worn by him, his handwritten letters and inscriptions related to his jail visit have been given the form of a museum.
- Citizens will get inspiration of patriotism and patriotism from this museum. Citizens will not have to pay any fee to visit the museum and the prison cell of Netaji.
- With the initiative of the Madhya Pradesh government, this will be the first Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose museum in the state and second in the country. A museum has been established in New Delhi in the memory of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose from the year 2019.
- It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Chouhan had named Jabalpur Jail after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the year 2007. Along with this, the initiative of construction and development of the monument was also started here.
- On 23rd January, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled the statue of Subhas Chandra Bose near Prabhat square in Bhopal, land worship and foundation stone of Azad Hind Fauj theme park and newly constructed railway overbridge (flyover).
- Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava informed that 105 ROBs are being built in the state. The amount for the construction of ROB has also been approved by the Government of India. With the help of ADB, 260 big bridges are being built in the state.

Indian Oil Extra Green Diesel & Green Combo Lubricants First Trial In India Begins From Haryana

- Recently, IndianOil has started the first trial in India of IndianOil Extra Green Diesel and Green Combo Lubricant from Ballabgarh Bus Stand in Haryana. With this green diesel, there will be relief from pollution caused by vehicles, while mileage will also increase by 5 percent.
Key Points
- Haryana's Transport Minister Moolchand Sharma started this trial from the bus stand at Ballabhgarh. This oil has been discovered by the Indian Oil Center in Faridabad.
- The Transport Minister said that 10 buses of roadways will be used for the trial of Extra Green Oil. In this, using this oil continuously, its quality will be checked on all parameters.
- On this occasion, Dr. SSV Ramakumar, Director, IndianOil's RD Centre, said that in various trials of this green combo of IndianOil, till now fuel economy has benefited between 5 and 7 percent and above.
- After a trial of 40 thousand km, it will be implemented in the entire Haryana Roadways, due to which Haryana Roadways will benefit about 40 crores annually.
- This extra green diesel and green combo lubricant will reduce pollution and increase the mileage of vehicles. This will reduce the emission of about 1000 tonnes of carbon dioxide and will benefit in environmental protection.

State Information Commission Building to be Named after Subhash Chandra Bose

- On 23 January 2022, on the 125th birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khater laid the foundation stone of the State Information Commission building to be built in Panchkula and announced to name this building after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Key Points
- The construction of this State Information Commission building to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 36.49 crore in Sector-3 of Panchkula is estimated to be completed in two years.
- On this occasion, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khater informed that 'Parakram Diwas' has been organized at 75 places in Haryana on the 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose under the Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the 75th year of India's independence going on across the country.
- Around 495 programs were organized with the slogan 'Haryana Bolega Jai Hind Bose' with public participation across the state.
- The Chief Minister also unveiled a statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose installed in the park in Chandigarh on the occasion of 'Parakram Diwas'.

Adventure-Sports Training will be Given to one Thousand Youth Every Year in Haryana

- On January 23, 2022, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khater announced that 1,000 youth of the state would be trained in adventure sports every year by the state government so that they could get employment.
Key Points
- The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing the youth at the concluding ceremony of the training program named 'Yuva Udyami' under 'Milkha Singh Adventure Sports Club' organized by the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of Haryana.
- Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khater said that in addition adventure-sports would be started in the hills of Kalesar, Dhosi, Aravalli and Mewat, where three to five 'adventure-sports camps' would be organized every year. An amount of two crore rupees will be spent every year on training in the above camps.
- It may be mentioned that such camps are being organized in Morni, Panchkula. During this training program youth between 16 to 29 years of Morni area were trained about entrepreneurship related to 'Adventure-Sports and Home-stay'.
- Calling upon the youth to become 'job givers' instead of 'job seekers', the Chief Minister said that the state government would endeavor to uplift the poorest of the poor by organizing Antyodaya Rozgar Melas.
- The state is sensitizing the poor about credit facilities and various avenues of self-employment, which include starting poultry farms, fish farming, animal husbandry, etc. to enhance their income.

- On January 23, 2022, on the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's birth anniversary, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel presided over the first meeting of the newly formed 'Chhattisgarh Rojgar Mission' at his residence office through video conferencing.

- In this meeting, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel directed to work expeditiously towards the creation of new employment opportunities and to review the work of the Employment Mission regularly. He said that youth should be made ready for employment according to the demand of industries and market, training them should be made proficient in various trades.
- He said that production should be done as per the market demand in rural industrial parks established in rural areas. To enhance the quality and certification of these products, cooperation of higher technical institutions located in Chhattisgarh should be taken. Better eco-system should be created for new startups, so that youth can get better employment opportunities.
- It is worth mentioning that with the objective of creating 12 to 15 lakh new employment opportunities in Chhattisgarh in the next five years, the state government has constituted Chhattisgarh Employment Mission.
- Principal Secretary Skill Development, Technical Education, Employment and Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh Employment Mission, Dr. Alok Shukla, while giving a presentation on Chhattisgarh Employment Mission in the meeting, said that progress of agriculture sector in Chhattisgarh, Rural Industrial Park in Gauthan, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Collection and value addition of minor forest produce has created employment opportunities on a large scale. A large number of people have also got employment in government and private sector, as a result of which the unemployment rate in Chhattisgarh has come down to just 2.1 percent.
- Shukla informed that Chhattisgarh Employment Mission, various departments related to employment- Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Agriculture, Fisheries, Horticulture, Forest, Industry, Village Industries, Urban Administration, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Skill Development Program, Gauthan, Godhan Nyay Yojana , will coordinate between the Bari Scheme and the works of the Tea-Coffee Board.
- This mission will work towards creating better employment opportunities by collaborating with private companies, branding and marketing in the employment oriented training, service and manufacturing sectors. Along with encouraging research on better products and services of Chhattisgarh through the mission, it will help in creating a better ecosystem for startups.
- It will work to create a better market for eco-tourism, adventure tourism, home-stay, food processing, herbal medicine, handicrafts and cocoon and silk to create new employment opportunities.
