Madhya Pradesh Reached from 22nd to 17th Position in AISHE
Why In News?
- AISHE on February 21, 2022, Deputy Director General in the Ministry of Education, Government of India R.K. Inaugurating a one-day workshop at the Academy of Administration by the Higher Education Department, Rajesh said that Madhya Pradesh has moved from 22nd to 17th position in the work of data entry of higher education institutions through AISHE.
Key points
- It is worth mentioning that in the report of the year 2020-21 in Madhya Pradesh the data of about four and a half lakh new students, has been recorded in the portal.
- R. Rajesh said that special attention is paid by AISHE to ensure that the data recorded on the portal is completely accurate, as this database is used by various ministries of the Government of India in policy making, budget allocation and research. This database is also used by world-class organizations like UNESCO, WHO many times.
- Chairman of the Private University Regulatory Commission Prof. Bharat Sharan said that the report for the year 2020-21 shows that there has been a significant increase in the enrolment of girl students belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category in Madhya Pradesh.
- AISHE is the largest survey institute in the country in the field of higher education, starting from the year 2010-11. Through this, complete information related to student teachers of all higher education institutions, examination results, curriculum, training and programs in institutions for quality of education, infrastructure, economic resource data are collected through a portal.
