Rajasthan State Faculty Development Academy (RSFDA) will be Established in Jaipur.
Why In News?
On September 18, 2023, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the establishment of Rajasthan State Faculty Development Academy (RSFDA) in Jaipur for educational reform and orientation in the field of higher education in the state.
Key Points:
- Through Rajasthan State Faculty Development Academy, MoU will be signed with national and international level reputed training institutions for improvement in the field of higher education, orientation of teachers and quality training.
- Training will be organized in institutions like HCM-RIPA, IGPRS, HRDC, Rajasthan University and Mahatma Gandhi Vidyapeeth-Kanak Bhawan etc.
- Till the academy building is constructed, it will be operated at Mahatma Gandhi Vidyapeeth-Gandhi Study Center located at Kanak Bhawan. Soon the academy will be registered under the Societies Act and till then it will be operated under Rajcess.
- It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had made an announcement in this regard in the budget year 2023-24.

Announcement of State Art Awards
Why In News?
On September 18, 2023, the jury of the 64th Annual Art Exhibition of Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy declared the artworks of 10 artists of the state as award worthy.
Key Points:
- Academy Secretary Dr. Rajneesh Harsh told that Dr. Amita Raj Goyal (Recreating Nature-2), Dishank Sharma (Smriti), Mahesh Kumar Kumawat (Sanatan), Shikha (There is Something), Somya Yadav (Sign of Self), Nakul Godara ( Shadow), Amar Prajapat (Jaipur Aravali-1), Prabhu Lal Gameti (Untied-2), Udit Agnihotri (Kingdom) and Deepika Raojani (Life and Death) were awarded for their works.
- For the exhibition, 505 paintings and sculptures of 169 artists were received from across the state, in which the jury selected 78 artworks of 64 artists. These also include award-winning artworks.
- On the inauguration of the exhibition, the 10 awarded artists will be given cash prizes of twenty-five thousand rupees, certificates and mementos.

25 lakh Cattle Farmers will get a Grant for Artificial Insemination of Animals.
Why In News?
On September 18, 2023, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved giving grants to the extent of 50 percent or Rs 500 to 25 lakh cattle farmers of the state for getting artificial insemination done for each animal (Cow/Buffalo). With this approval of the Chief Minister, cattle farmers will be able to get animals of advanced breed.
Key Points:
- Along with this, the Chief Minister has also given in-principal approval for a budget provision of Rs 36.65 crore for carrying out 5 lakh artificial insemination in the year 2023-24.
- It is proposed to do 5 lakh artificial insemination with sex sorted semen in the year 2023-24 by the Animal Husbandry Department.
- It is known that the price per dose is currently fixed at Rs 675 by the Government of India. Thus, in-principal approval of Rs 33.75 crore has been given for purchasing 5 lakh doses and Rs 2.90 crore for other resources.
- The Chief Minister has approved giving a grant of Rs 335 per artificial insemination and taking Rs 340 from animal farmers or giving a grant in the limit of 50 percent or Rs 500 per insemination. This will put a burden of Rs 16.75 crore on the state government in the year 2023-23.
- It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had made an announcement in this regard in the budget year 2023-24.
