Sehore District Stands First in the Ranking of Hostels Run for Primary Education in the State.

Why In News?

On September 18, 2023, the ranking of hostels run for primary education in the state for the session 2022-23 was released in a YouTube live program by the State Education Centre, School Education Department, in which Sehore district has secured the first position in the state.

Key Points:

  • Director, State Education Center Dhanaraju S said that improving the educational performance of hostels is the priority of the government. The main objective of developing this ranking system is to create healthy competition for better arrangements for teaching and learning in hostels along with residential facilities.
  • Director Dhanraju said that this ranking has been prepared on the parameters of performance and efficiency of hostels out of a total of 100 points.
  • In the ranking, 20 marks for the efficiency of the approved hostels, 20 marks for enrollment on the approved seats, 20 marks for the performance of hostel children in the National Means cum Merit Scholarship, 20 marks for the performance in Olympiad and 20 marks for the annual examination results. Points have been determined.
  • According to the ranking released based on efficiency and performance, Sehore district has secured the first position in the state, while Raisen, Dewas, Dindori, Mandla, Chhindwara, Alirajpur, Barwani, Indore and Dhar are in the top ten districts respectively.
  • Along with this, ranking of hostels across the state has also been released. In this, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Hostel of village Johat of Alirajpur district is at the first place.

MP Transco's Stall Got Second Prize in the 10th Science Fair

Why In News?

On September 18, 2023, Bhel, Bhopal. M.P. Singh was the centre of attraction at the four-day state-level science fair held at Dussehra Maidan here. Transco's (Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company) stall containing diverse information has received the second prize in the category of government sector stall.

  • On behalf of MP Transco, Superintending Engineers SK Dubey, Rajesh Shandilya, D.S. Bissen, R.C. Sharma, Executive Engineer Atul Nabar, A.K. Shrivastava, Assistant Engineer Ashish Jain received the award at the closing ceremony of this state-level science fair in Bhopal.
  • MP Transco presented models of transmission lines along with gas insulated substations, optical fiber cables, working model of optical fiber, online SCADA, online camera display of GIS substation, fault locator, conventional air insulated substation along with various equipment used in multi circuit transmission lines and substations as models at the fair.
  • Apart from this, through various graphics, posters, etc. M.P Transco's achievements and diverse insights were also showcased.

A Grand Memorial Costing Rs 100 crore will be Built in the Memory of the Brave Queen Durgavati.

On September 18, 2023, during his stay in Jabalpur, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that on October 5, on the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati, the Bhoomi Pujan of a grand memorial will be done on the land of Madan Mahal at a cost of Rs 100 crore.

  • This grand monument will be a symbol of the bravery, valor, service, good governance and glory of Queen Durgavati and will keep the memory of the queen alive for ages.
