52 Annapurna Stores to be Built in Bareilly Commissionery

Why in News?

On May 17, 2023, Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) vice-chairman Joginder Singh informed that 52 Annapurna stores will be set up as a pilot project in Bareilly Commissionery, where 40 types of items related to everyday needs will be made available to the public.

  • Veena Kumari, Principal Secretary, Food and Logistics Department, Bareilly Commissioner Saumya Aggarwal, vice-chairman of Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) Joginder Singh presented the model of 52 Annapurna stores being constructed in the division to the Chief Minister.
  • The store will have a fair price shop and a public convenience centre, which has been named as Annapurna Store. It will be constructed in the panchayat buildings of the village.
  • The store will be of 52 sqm with a 4 ft wide verandah/waiting shed in front. There will be a fair price shop in one part. There will be an arrangement to keep 200 quintals of food grains. Public convenience center and general store will be operated in the second part of the store. There will also be an e-pass machine in the shop.
  • Income, caste, birth, residence certificate, Aadhaar, pension and other services will be available from the Annapurna store's public convenience center. Different types of bills can be deposited. Five kg LPG cylinders, e-stamps, fire extinguishers will be available in the general store. Services of Micro ATM, BC Sakhi etc. will also be available.

Approval of the Proposal to Upgrade 16 Government Minority Residential Schools to Secondary

Why in News?

On May 17, 2023, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved the proposal to upgrade 16 government minority residential schools of upper primary level to secondary schools.

  • According to the proposal, Ramgarh Alwar, Bhaniyana Sakra Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Sikar, Burhan Ka Tala Barmer, Kanchanner Bharatpur, Nandera Bharatpur, Masuda Ajmer, Churu, Sawai Madhopur, Nagaur, Fatehpur Sikri, Tijara Alwar, Gharsana Sri ganganagar, Kuchdi Sam Jaisalmer and Abhey. Residential schools at Par Ramsar Barmer will be upgraded.
  • Out of these residential schools 9 are for boys and 7 are for girls. A total of 96 vacancies including 16 for Principal, 64 for Senior Teacher, 16 for Physical Education Teacher will be created for these schools.
  • With this approval of the Chief Minister, facilities for higher and quality education will be expanded in the state and students will be able to get the facility of residential schools. This will provide opportunities for students to continue their further studies closer to home.

On May 17, 2023, According to received information from the media, the way has been cleared to start work on the six-lane green field project from Varanasi to Kolkata via Ranchi. For this project the tender of six phases of Jharkhand has been finalized.

  • This work has been given to different agencies. Which will construct about 200 km long road in the state of Jharkhand. which will go from Chatra district of the state to Purulia-Bankura in West Bengal via Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Bokaro.
  • The cost of the entire road is estimated to be more than Rs 12,000 crore. Here total 6 packages have been made from package 8 to package 13.
  • this route will be total 620 km from Varanasi to Kolkata via Ranchi. Six Lane Road of G.T. Will be built parallel to Road 2. Its construction will start from Chandauli near Varanasi.
  • Who got the work of which part:
    • in the Package 8, from Sonepurbigha to Chatra and Chatra Bypass (37 Km.), the work of NH-22 in Tracks & Towers Pvt. Ltd., has been given to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (TTIPL-RVNL) for Rs.1728 crore. Its civil cost is approximately 1272 crore Rupees.
    • Under package 9, In Deoria 31 km of Chatra district on NH-100 of The work has been given to Ramkripal Construction for Rs 2400 crore. Its civil cost is approximately 962 crore Rupees and rupees 1412 crore is estimated to be spent on land etc.
    • ​​ ​Under Package 10 of this project, the work of about 35 km up to Donoreshan village will be done for Rs 1546 crore. Its work has been given to HG Infra Engineering.
    • In Package 11, work up to 37 km from Donoreshan village to junction of NH-20 has been given to CEIGALL India Limited. Its cost will be Rs 1855 crore. The civil cost will be Rs 1656 crore.
    • In Package 12, CEIGALL India will construct a 33 km road from Bogambar on NH-20 to Lepo village on NH-30 at a cost of Rs 3048 crore.
    • Under package 13 the work of 28 km of NH-320 from Lepo village to Kamalapur village Jharkhand-West Bengal border has been given to HG Infra Engineering limited. Its cost will be Rs 2255 crore.

Jharkhand's Sapna Won Bronze Medal in Federation Cup Athletics

Cabinet Approves 'Mukhya Mantri Sikho-Kamao Yojana' for the Youth

On May 17, 2023, In the cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approval was given to the 'Mukhyamantri Sikho-Kamao Yojana' (Youth Skill Earning Scheme) for the unemployed youth of the state.

  • 12th, ITI, Graduate and Post Graduate will be eligible in this scheme. Under the scheme 8 to 10 thousand rupees will be given to the youth during training for one year.
  • The state government has set a target of training one lakh unemployed Under the scheme. If more unemployed youths come than this target, they will also be included.
  • In this, The youth will have to register on a portal. They will have to upload their Own educational qualification documents, Composite ID, permanent residence certificate and other information Also.
  • To the eligibility of this scheme, It is necessary to be a resident of Madhya Pradesh, for which the age of 18 to 29 years and 12th pass or ITI is necessary should the minimum educational qualification.
  • Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that under the scheme, the children will be 700 different types of work in engineering, electronics, hotel management, tourism, travel, hospital, railway, ITI, software development, banking, insurance, accounting, chartered accountant and other financial services about given the taught.
  • This work will be taught in any institution, company, factory or hospital. During this work money will be transferred directly to the accounts of the children.
  • Under the scheme, Rupees 8,000 per month will be given to those who are 12th or less educated. Rupees 8,500 will be given to ITI passers, Rupees 9,000 to diploma holders and Rupees 10,000 per month to those pursuing degree or above.
  • Technical Education, Skill Development Department Additional Chief Secretary Manu Srivastava said that under the 'Chief Minister's Learn-Kamao Yojana' approval of one thousand crore rupees Amount has been given for the purpose of training at least one lakh youth in establishments.
  • Under this scheme, the youth will get a stipend of Rs 8 to 10 thousand per month during the training. 75% of the stipend will be paid by the state government through DBT. After the training, A certificate from the State Council for Vocational Training will be given by the Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development and Employment Generation Board.

On May 16, 2023, Haryana AYUSH Minister Anil Vij launched the 'Yog Manas' (Yogshala Management and Analytical System) app of the AYUSH department.

  • On this occasion, the Ayush Minister said that this app has been launched to promote Yoga Vidya to lead a better life, maintain good health and create wonderful human beings. Through this app, the yoga activities of the citizens, the action taken by the yoga assistant, etc. can also be monitored.
  • The citizen/participant can register for participation in Yoga Through this app on his/her mobile. The login of the District Ayush Officer has been given in the app and a dashboard has been given along with the module of Yoga Sahayak, through which the activities of Yoga can be monitored by the concerned officials.
  • The citizen/participant has to install the Yog Manas application in his/her mobile, After that the citizen/participant has to activate it by entering his/her basic information.
  • The citizen/participant will be visible at the location of nearby yoga shalas through GPS After the app has been started. The citizen/participant will subscribe to his/her session at his/her convenience after registering himself/herself at the respective Yogashala. The enrollment of the citizen/participant will be done after this process.
  • The AYUSH minister said that similarly there is a separate login process for yoga assistants. The Yoga Sahayak has to turn on his/her GPS location and select his/her Yogashala. After that, he/she has to create his/her session/batch and thenceforth the session/batch information will appear. He will also be able to mark his attendance After that.
  • A list of different types of yoga asanas has also been given in this application, which the citizen/participant will be able to customize according to himself. Given the login of the District Ayush Officer in the application, he will be able to monitor Yogashala, Yoga Sahayak and Yoga sessions including subscriptions.
