Recently, Bharat Tech, an incubated company of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, has developed a state-of-the-art indigenous search engine 'Bharat Search'.

  • India Search has developed the Rate Algorithm that is similar to Spider Algorithm which is used by Google to bring content from different platforms to its platform.
  • A search engine is a program that searches for and identifies a subject in a database by matching keywords or characters specified by the user. It is specifically used to find specific sites on the World Wide Web.
  • The search engine operates on the basis of web crawling, indexing and searching order.
  • Apart from this, B-maps for viewing world map, B-mail for sending e-mail, Union for online meeting and data sharing and B-book applications for studies have been prepared by the company.

On February 16, 2022, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a Zoo Safari in Rajgir.

  • It is worth mentioning that the zoo safari, spread over an area of 480 acres, has been constructed with an investment of Rs 176 crore. Its foundation was laid in the year 2016.
  • An Interpretation Center and 180 degree 3D Theater have also been constructed in Safari. In the Interpretation Center, a statue related to the evolutionary sequence of humans and the life cycle of wildlife has been installed. The film 'The Ocean Bioscope' was screened in front of the Chief Minister in this theater.
  • It has been decided to keep tigers, lions, leopards, bears and deer in this zoo safari for which five different large enclosures have been made.

  • Anil Sharma took over as the newly appointed chairman of the State Economic Backward Classes Board at Ambedkar Bhawan.
  • It is noteworthy the formation of this board was announced in the budget of 2020 to determine an effective policy for the upliftment and welfare of the Economically Backward Classes (EBC).
  • The newly nominated chairman of Rajasthan Livestock Development Board, Rajendra Singh Solanki also took over the charge of the board and got acquainted with all the officers and employees and inquired about various schemes related to livestock development of the board.

On February 16, 2022, Rajasthan's Cooperative Minister Udai Lal Anjana inaugurated the Prisoner Canteen to be operated by Confed in Central Jail Jaipur for prisoners in Sikar, Sriganganagar, Bhilwara, Dholpur, Kota, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur, Dausa and Kotputli. Virtually inaugurated the captive canteen.

  • Udai Lal Anjana said that from the beginning of the prison canteen for the prisoners by the cooperative and the jail administration, food items, confectionery, cosmetics, toiletries, notebooks, pencils and about 43 to 58 types of daily use items will be available to the prisoners. .

  • V.K. Verma, Managing Director Confed, said that according to the ward made in the prison in the prison canteen, the prisoner will be able to buy goods for themselves on the prescribed day through biometric verification.
  • On this occasion, Social Justice and Empowerment and Prisons Minister Tikaram Julie announced to increase the limit of three thousand five hundred rupees for the purchase of material from the canteen to the extent of two thousand five hundred per month on the demand of the prisoners.
  • It is noteworthy that there are about 23 thousand prisoners in 140 jails of Rajasthan state.

  • In Madhya Pradesh, a special initiative has been started for the employment of youths belonging to scheduled castes. Under the Sant Ravidas Self-Employment Scheme, a loan assistance of one lakh to 50 lakh will be provided to the scheduled caste youth for setting up a manufacturing unit. Interest subsidy at the rate of 5 percent will be given for the project.
  • Similarly, for service sector and retail trade, there will be a provision of loan from one lakh to 25 lakh rupees in the scheme. The scheme will be operated through Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation.
  • The Chief Minister said that under the Chief Minister's Scheduled Caste Special Project Financing Scheme, a grant of up to Rs.2 crore would be given to the youth of the Scheduled Castes for self-employment, skill up-gradation, promotion and innovation.
  • Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Economic Welfare Scheme is being started with the aim of providing loans up to one lakh rupees for low cost equipment or working capital to the micro, small and medium scale industries already established by the beneficiaries of the scheduled caste category. The schemes will be operated through the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation.

  • This policy will be applicable to College Cadre Group-C/Ministerial Staff working on a regular basis in Government Colleges, where the sanctioned strength is 80 or more.
  • According to the Higher Education Department, this policy has been formulated with the objective of ensuring fair and transparent deployment of Deputy Superintendent, Assistant, Steno Typist, Clerk, Laboratory Attendant and Junior Lecturer Assistant at various places and to increase their job satisfaction and improve their performance.
  • Normal transfers under this policy will be done only once in a year. However, transfer/appointment for promotion, direct recruitment and to fill up the posts as required in public interest can be made by the competent authority at any time. After completing the online process by 31st March or will be implemented as per the requirement of the department.
  • Under this policy, the employee who has completed the tenure of five years will be transferred to any government college or anywhere in the state or in public interest.
  • Age and composite score will also be taken into consideration for transfer/appointment under this policy. The allotment to the vacancy will be decided on the basis of aggregate aggregate marks scored by the employee out of the prescribed 80 marks. The employee scoring maximum marks will be entitled for transfer against a particular vacancy.
  • Age will be a major factor in deciding the claim of an employee against a vacancy, as it will have a preference of 60 marks out of a total of 80 marks. However, special benefits up to a maximum of 20 marks can be claimed by special categories of employees.
  • If the husband and wife are employed in any department, board, corporation under the Government of India or the State Government, then only one of the two can claim the benefit of five marks and for the same he has to make self-declaration. He has to submit that his spouse has not taken the benefit of this category (couple case). This self-declaration will have to be uploaded on the portal while participating in the drive.

Chhattisgarh Government has decided to establish at least one Hindi Medium School of Excellence in each district following the popularity of Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Schools.

  • A total of 32 new schools of Hindi medium will come into existence from the coming academic session. The buildings of the designated schools will be renovated and the schools will be developed qualitatively as well as aesthetically.
  • The schools will be upgraded into multipurpose schools in the name of Swami Atmanand.
  • It is worth mentioning that at present 171 English medium schools are running in Chhattisgarh with 74 thousand students. In which a total of three such English schools have been started in the state capital Raipur. The establishment of these schools proved to be a great success. Earlier, only 57 children were studying in RD Tiwari School (Hindi) in Raipur, but after it was upgraded as Swami Atmanand Government English Medium School, it has 1,000 students.
  • The children enrolled in these schools are from economically weaker families. The government bears the entire cost of students' fees, books and uniforms.

Ayushman Yojana

Recently, in Uttarakhand, the government has made changes in the system of treatment under the Ayushman scheme and has made it mandatory that now patients will be able to get treatment in empaneled private hospitals only after referring them from government hospitals.

  • It is noteworthy that the state government had given permission for direct private hospitalization during the Covid period, but now this exemption has been abolished as soon as the corona infection subsides.
  • Referral has been made mandatory by the State Health Agency for Ayushman scheme for free treatment of five lakh rupees, but referral is not mandatory for treatment under the cashless state health scheme being run for government employees and pensioners i.e. patients directly enlisted can go to hospitals for treatment.
  • However, the patients will get the facility of direct treatment in the NAVH accredited private hospitals of the state.
  • It is known that Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) is the world's largest health insurance scheme, which is fully funded by the Central Government.
  • Under this, each beneficiary family is provided an insurance cover of Rs 5,00,000 per year for secondary and tertiary health treatment in public and private empaneled hospitals. Hospitalization and subsequent expenses (such as medical tests and medicines) are also covered under this plan.
