Chhattisgarh's Excellent Performance in Cleanliness Competition

Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India has informed the state of Chhattisgarh that this year, Chhattisgarh has again performed its best in the field of cleanliness while maintaining its status of the cleanest state in the country. In the year 2019 and 2020 also, Chhattisgarh was the leading state in terms of cleanliness.

- Chhattisgarh will be rewarded in the category of cleanest states of India by President Ram Nath Kovid in the Swachh Amrit Mahotsav organized under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on the 75th anniversary of independence.
- Chhattisgarh has also won this time in the world's biggest cleanliness competition organized by the Government of India. Chhattisgarh will not only be rewarded as a state but 61 cities here will also be rewarded for their excellent performance. Chhattisgarh will be the state whose highest number of bodies will be rewarded.
- Apart from this, Chhattisgarh has been declared as the first ODF plus state of the country by the Government of India.
- Swachh Survekshan is organized every year among all the cities and states of the country by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. In this, urban cleanliness is assessed under various parameters.
- Mainly, door-to-door garbage collection, scientific disposal of waste, open defecation free city, garbage free city etc. through third party assessment, feedback of citizens are also included in this. On this basis, by releasing the ranking of states and cities, the best performing states and cities are rewarded.
