- Chhattisgarh became the overall champion for the 11th time in the 26th All India Forest Sports Competition held in Panchkula, Haryana on March 14, 2023.

- In the 26th All India Forest Sports Competition, Chhattisgarh again retained its first position by winning a total of 164 medals, beating its nearest rival Karnataka.
- It is noteworthy that in this five-day long event, tennis, table tennis, badminton, swimming, carrom, chase, weightlifting, power lifting, kabaddi, along with indoor games like cricket, football, basketball, hockey, golf, there are various events in athletics.
- In this competition, the highest officers of the Forest Department participate in sports events from PCCF to guard.
- In the 26th All India Forest Sports Competition, the Forest Department team of Chhattisgarh won gold medal for the seventh time by defeating Jammu and Kashmir in cricket. Similarly, in football, Chhattisgarh got the first position by defeating the Haryana team. The basketball team of Chhattisgarh won the gold medal by defeating the Karnataka team.
- Chhattisgarh has won total 19 gold medals in weightlifting, powerlifting, 12 gold in tennis, 04 gold in badminton, 06 gold in swimming, 18 gold, 10 silver, 08 bronze medals in athletics. Similarly, 09 gold and 02 silver medals have been obtained in tennis.
- In this way, in this year's 26th All India Forest Sports Competition, Chhattisgarh won a total of 164 medals and scored a total of 542 points.
