In Uttarakhand, Six Services of Transport Department Including Challan Went Online

Why In News?

  • On November 11, 2022, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched these services in the state by launching six services of the Transport Department online and three mobile apps of the Transport Corporation itself, including the mitigation fee of challans.

Key Points

  • The online services of the Transport Department in the state are -
    • Online tax payment : Taxes of stage carriage vehicles were earlier deposited in the office, but now they will be able to deposit tax online from anywhere through the transport website.
    • Challan mitigation fee: Till now the challan fees were deposited in the offices, but now they will be able to deposit the e-challan directly online through the transport department's e-challan website.
    • Temporary permit online: Till now, one had to go to the RTO office to get temporary permits of the Transport Department, but now online application and fee payment will be made. Online scrutiny, approval and permits will be downloaded.
    • Online Contract Carriage Permit: The Divisional Transport Authority will now be able to apply for contract carriage permit online and will also be able to submit the fee online. These permits will also be available online.
    • Registration of vehicles: Till now, registration of private vehicles was deposited online fees and taxes after data entry at the dealer point, uploading documents. After this, the dealer had to go to the RTO office with the entire paper. The wives had to be kept in RTO offices, but now the entire process will be online. There will be freedom from the pile of papers in the offices.
    • Trade Certificate: Now you will not have to visit offices to make a business certificate. The entire process will be online. The certificate will be issued online.
  • The Transport Corporation has launched Humsafar app for drivers. This app will be installed in the mobile phone in front of the driver. This app will monitor every movement of the driver and alert the driver when he sleeps. It will get rewards on safe bus operations.
  • Apart from this, the attendance app has been launched. In this, the employees of the Transport Corporation will be able to make their attendance from their mobile when they come to the geo fencing area.
  • Apart from this, the corporation has launched a fleet management system. Under this, CCTV cameras will be installed in buses. Vehicle location tracking device will be installed to see the location of every bus and those traveling without tickets can be caught with the help of CCTV. Fuel sensors will be installed in all buses and all buses can be fully monitored from the central control room.

'Apni Sarkar' Mobile App

Why In News?

  • On November 11, 2022, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the mobile app of 'Apani Sarkar Portal' developed by the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA).

Key Points

  • After the launch of 'Apni Sarkar Portal', this app is now also available on Playstore. On this mobile app, 254 services of the state and another 173 services will be available through web links. By login on this app, you can avail the services from the comfort of your home. Apart from this, the facility of CM Helpline will also be available through the mobile app.
  • Through this mobile app, four of Sainik Welfare Department, 15 of Minor Irrigation Department, ten of Home Department, five of Registration Department, 18 of Revenue Department, two of Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, three of Skill Development and Employment Department, Eight services of Directorate of Urban Development, 12 of Panchayati Raj Department, nine of Social Welfare Department, seven of Fisheries Department, nine of Drinking Water Department and 23 of Energy Department will be directly available.
  • Similarly, one of State Disaster Management Department, 14 of Technical Education Department, 20 of School Education Department, 12 of Skill Development and Employment Department, three of Minority Welfare Department, 22 of Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry Department, 13 of Ayurvedic and Unani, Two services of Rural Development Department, five of Agriculture Department, 19 of Agriculture and Agricultural Marketing Department, two of Public Works Department and 16 services of Legal Metrology Department will be available directly through this mobile app.
  • Apart from this, state transport department, e-court services, goods and services tax, income tax department, civil aviation ministry nine, PAN service portal nine, Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee eight, External Affairs Ministry passport service eight, Election Commission of India seven, UIDAI seven, agriculture and farmers welfare department six The web link of six services of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, five of Uttarakhand Self Employment Schemes and four services of Directorate of Urban Development will be available on this mobile app.
  • Similarly, three each from State Disaster Management Authority and Higher Education Department, six from Jeevan Praman, five from Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, three from Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, three from Railway Department, three from Right to Information, three from Ukada Uttarakhand, Web link of one service of online registration of Municipal Corporation Dehradun and one of health department will be found on this mobile app.
  • THE ITDA has also prepared the Android mobile app of the CM Helpline, so that people living in inaccessible areas of the state will also be able to send their complaints directly to the Chief Minister. It can be downloaded by writing CM Helpline on the Play Store.
  • Three services of ITDA have also started, which are as follows:
    • DARC Lake: It is a centralized data storage platform designed to store GIS and drone data. There will also be a list of local drone pilots on it, which any department will be able to access.
    • SD-WAN: Internet connectivity will be smooth even if the connectivity of every tehsil, block, headquarters to the district is disrupted. It is a high speed internet system.
    • ITDA-CALC: Its first satellite center has been established at Rishikesh. Now these centers will be set up across the state, through which youth will be trained to operate and repair drones.
