Cabinet Meeting in Ayodhya Proposals Promoting Religion and Culture Approved

Why In News?
Many proposals promoting religion and culture have been approved in the cabinet meeting held in Ayodhya on November 9, 2023, under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

  • Key Points
    In the cabinet meeting, approval was given for the formation of 'Ayodhya Ji Teerth Kshetra Development Council', 'Maa Pateshwari Devi Patan Development Council' and 'Shuktirtha Development Council' in Muzaffarnagar.
    The following other proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting-
    Approval has been given to the proposal to establish the Museum of Indian Temple Architecture on 25 acres of land in Majha Jamthara village of Ayodhya.
    The proposal to expand and establish Ayodhya Research Institute as International Ramayana Vedic Research Institute was approved.
    Approval has been given to provincialize the Makar Sankranti and Basant Panchami fairs held every year in Ayodhya, the Kartik Purnima Snan fair of Anupshahr in Bulandshahr and the Lakkhi fair of Hathras, Shri Dauji Maharaj. The government will bear the expenses incurred in arranging these fairs.
    The proposal for formation of Uttar Pradesh Inland Waterways Authority and provincialization of Dev Diwali celebration in Banaras has also been approved.
    The proposal has been approved for women voluntary groups in the state to set up plants in their own blocks.
    Drone policy has been approved.
    The proposal regarding implementing the rules at the state level has been approved.
    The proposal to convene the winter session from November 28 has been approved.
