Unique River Art Gallery to be Built in Prayagraj
Why in News?
On July 8, 2022, NHAI Project Director Nusratullah informed that River Art Gallery will be built on the six-lane bridge tower under construction on the banks of Ganga in Prayagraj on the lines of Eiffel Tower. Its proposal has been sent to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
Key Points
- This will be the only such river gallery in the country, where tourists from all over the country and the world will be able to have a direct interview with the colors of the culture of Kumbh and Prayagraj. Apart from Prayagraj, the color of Kumbh in Nashik, Ujjain and Haridwar will also be shown in this river gallery.
- Before entering Prayagraj, tourists will be able to come to this gallery and get a glimpse of the culture and heritage of the spiritual city as well as art. Tourists will also be able to get acquainted with the paintings of Shankaracharyas and Naga sannyasis of the Akharas and their devotion and meditation etc.
- 10 km under construction at Phaphamau at a cost of 2,000 crore rupees. The construction of the long six-lane bridge will be completed before the Mahakumbh to be held in the year 2025.
- Capsule lifts will be installed on both sides to reach this river art gallery. It is also proposed to build a revolving restaurant on the other side of the gallery.

Bihar Ration Card Holders will Get Free Treatment Facility
Why in News?
On July 8, 2022, Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey announced free treatment on the lines of 'Ayushman Bharat Jan-Arogya Yojana' for all ration card holders of the state at a felicitation ceremony for doctors and hospitals who have excelled under the Ayushman Bharat Jan-Arogya Yojana.
Key Points
- On this occasion , 66 doctors and 5 hospitals have also been honored for their outstanding performance under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
- As a result of the free treatment facility on the lines of Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana, 9 crore population of Bihar will be covered for cashless treatment of up to Rs 5 lac per family per annum.
- Minister Mangal Pandey informed that at present 1 crore 9 lac families in the state are listed from the central government as beneficiaries under this scheme, but all the ration card holders within the state are not able to benefit from this scheme.
- There are about 1 crore 80 lac families in the state who are ration card holders. Therefore, the scheme of giving 5 lac per family per year to the remaining 70 lac ration card holder families has been approved by the Bihar cabinet, as a result of which all the card holders of Bihar will be benefitted.
- It is noteworthy that so far 35.38 lac families and 76.25 lac persons have been issued Ayushman cards in the state. Under this scheme, 606 government and 379 non-government hospitals (total 985 hospitals) have been listed in the state. So far, 4 lac 11 thousand families have been given health benefits under this scheme with an amount of more than 429 crores.

MoU Between Rajasthan Government and Japanese Companies
Why in News?
The MoU was signed between the Government of Rajasthan and 11 Japanese companies at the MoU Ceremony held at Daikin Japanese Institute of Manufacturing Excellence (DJIME), Neemrana on July 7, 2022.
Key Points
- With this MoU, an investment of Rs 1338 crore will be made in the Dhani (Pali) areas of Neemrana, Giloth and Chaparia and 2272 people will get employment.
- The MoU will result in an investment of about Rs.1300 crores, which is equivalent to 22 billion yen. The number of Japanese companies in the state has increased from 10 in 2008 to 170 in 2021 .
- On this occasion, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot called upon Japanese companies to invest in the construction of Petrochemical Complex, Invest Rajasthan and Skill Development Center in Barmer. He called upon the Japanese companies to open skill development centres to provide employment to the youth of rural areas, in which the required support would be given by the state government.
- The Chief Minister informed that during the visit of the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to Japan in the year 2005, the role of Japanese Investment, Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Front Corridor was prepared. The Japanese zone at Neemrana is also a part of DMIC.
- Japan's Ambassador to India Suzuki Satoshi said That India and Japan share fundamental values like rule of law and democracy. Our relationship is not just bilateral, but extraordinary. That's why it's called a Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
- He said that at the summit between the Prime Ministers of India and Japan last March, it was noted with satisfaction that the investment target of 3.5 trillion Japanese yen (about Rs 2 lac crore) announced in 2014 has been achieved. Now, 5 trillion Japanese yen (about Rs 3 lac crore) has been started by Japan to invest in India in the next 5 years.
- Industries Minister Shakuntala Rawat said that the Industries Department recently organized road shows in each district, which would encourage traditional industries there. He said that more than 5000 entrepreneurs would participate in the proposed Invest Rajasthan Summit on 7th and 8th October. This will open new investment opportunities in the state.
- Yasuyuki Murahashi, Chief Director General of Japanese External Organization (JETRO), said that the MoU signed by Japanese companies will lead to an investment of about Rs 1,300 crore in Rajasthan. He said that one of these companies is going to invest in Giloth Industrial Park, which is the first investment by a Japanese company in the said area.

Charkhi Dadri Got a Gift of About Rs 1100 Crore

On July 8, 2022, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gifted various projects worth about Rs 1100 crore to Charkhi Dadri district.
Key Points
- Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has laid the foundation stone for the Nimad-Badesara Drinking Water Project, which is going to be built at a cost of about Rs 100 crore, among the projects.
- They have also fulfilled the demand for construction of a new college building at Kasba Bund. The construction of the building of this college will cost 16 crore 11 lac rupees.
- The Chief Minister also inaugurated Sirsali water house, built at a cost of Rs 36 crore, Dadri fire station built at a cost of Rs 5 crore 78 lac, Dadri-Mahendragarh road completed at a cost of about Rs 18 crore.
- Apart from this, the Chief Minister had constructed Hadodi Minor at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 41 lakh, Chhapar-Rampura link road built at a cost of Rs. 2 crore, Loharu feeder built at a cost of Rs. 1 crore 15 lakh and Rs. 1 crore 60 lakh in village Sawand. Also inaugurated a 50 bedded hospital built at a cost.

Jharkhand Tops in Delta Ranking Released by NITI Aayog
Why in News?
Recently, Jharkhand has secured the first position in the Delta Ranking for the month of June under the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission Scheme released by the Ministry of Rural Development (Government of India).

- Secretary, Rural Development Department of Jharkhand, Dr. Manish Ranjan informed that better work is being done continuously in Rurban Mission and regular review of the progress of work is being done at the state level. He directed the officers of the respective districts to lay emphasis on development-oriented works for the development of the state with greater urgency.
- MNREGA Commissioner Rajeshwari B said that the Ministry of Rural Development (Government of India) has released the Delta Ranking for the month of June, in which Jharkhand is at the first position in the country. Jharkhand has also improved in overall performance and has earned 8th place in the country. In future, the goal of the state government is to benefit every village and every family from the Rurban Mission.
- Under this, initiatives have been taken to strengthen the rural economy and provide employment to the villagers. Rurban scheme is playing an effective role in this work. The objective of Rurban Yojana is to focus on the all-round development of the region, economic development and value creation, increasing ENT and basic services as well as laying emphasis on construction of wells for irrigation facilities
