Instructions to Prepare 'Land-Pool Policy' for 'Padma' Scheme in Haryana
Why in News
- Recently, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, presiding over the meeting of officers related to 'Padma' scheme, directed that a 'land-pool policy' should be formulated for 'Padma' scheme. Due to this maximum benefit to the rural people owning the land and employment opportunities in the village will increase.
Key Points
- The Deputy Chief Minister informed after the meeting that while taking forward the 'Padma' scheme of the Center, the Haryana Government is going to work on it expeditiously. To promote MSMEs in the state, about fifty acres of land will be raised in each block under land pooling.
- He said that some products have been fixed block-wise by the State Government, which the government would also help in getting them exported. In many villages of the state, such quality products are prepared by skilled people, which can get good prices at national and international level, but due to lack of information, they have to be sold at local level at low prices.
- According to Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, the intention of the state government is to form a cluster in each block for the best products produced by the people of that block, where plots can be provided to the people for setting up industries like MSMEs. Facilities like electricity, water, road, bank, common service center will be provided in this cluster.
