Bateshwar Cattle Fair

Why in News

• From November 2, 2021, the cattle fair started in India's religious and historical place 'Bateshwar' located on the banks of river Yamuna in Agra district.

Key Points

• It is an important spiritual and cultural center of India, known for its 101 Shiva temples located on the banks of Yamuna and Shauripur.
• A big cattle fair is organized here every year in the month of Kartik.
• This fair is completed in three phases. In the first phase - camels, horses and donkeys are sold, in the second phase - cows etc. other animals and in the last phase - cultural colorful programs are held.

'Vaccine Mitra' Chatbot

Why in News

• The 'Vaccine Mitra' chatbot was launched by Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on November 2, 2021 with an aim to promote COVID-19 vaccination.

Key Points

• The Bihar government has launched this chatbot in association with Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp.
• It is built with the latest intuitive capabilities of the WhatsApp API platform, which enables users to select quick replies.
• It is capable of providing information in both English and Hindi languages.
• It helps in creating awareness about vaccines and provides information about the nearest vaccination centre.
• To use this chatbot, WhatsApp users has to send 'Hi' to 9431025555.

Integrated Ayush Hospital

Why in News

• On November 2, 2021, Rajasthan's Medical Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma inaugurated the Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Pratapnagar, Jaipur.

Key Points

• On this occasion, he said that the facility of Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani medicine will be available to the general public in the same premises in the Integrated AYUSH Hospital. In addition, specialist therapy of these medical systems, such as Panchakarma for complex and chronic patients, Kshar Sutra-Surgery for piles and fistula, cupping therapy for back pain etc. will also be available.
• It is noteworthy that 6 state integrated AYUSH hospitals are being constructed by the state government, in which the construction work of Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner and Churu has been completed. The construction work of Jaipur has been completed and dedicated to the public. The construction of Sikar Hospital will be started soon.
• Minister of State for Medical Dr. Subhash Garg said that through this hospital, residents of the southern region of Jaipur would get the benefit of high quality medical facilities at one place by specialist doctors of AYUSH systems of medicine.

COVID-19 Treatment and Management Plan

• On November 2, 2021, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan through video conferencing, approval was given to the Covid-19 treatment and management plan.

Key Points

• Under this scheme, health infrastructure upgradation, human resource management, purchase of medicines and other equipment, free treatment of covid patients, testing and sampling arrangements, covid friendly behavior-awareness and publicity, covid care center operation, waste management of hospitals, Home isolation monitoring and medical kit distribution etc. have been included.
• A total of Rs 480 crore is proposed for the implementation of the scheme, out of which Rs 75 crore is currently available through re-appropriation.

Approval of the Revised 'Samadhan Se Vikas' Scheme

• On November 2, 2021, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar approved the revised 'Samadhan Se Vikas' scheme to enable recovery of pending External Development Fee (EDC) dues.

Key Points

• The 'Samadhan Se Vikas' scheme designed to enable recovery of long pending EDC dues was approved in a meeting of the State Council of Ministers on July 6, 2020.
• The scheme was developed on the lines of the central scheme 'Vivad se Vishwas'.
• Under this policy, an amount of Rs 1130.13 crore has been recovered till 30 September, 2021. Presently, the EDC dues of about Rs.14932.87 crore are pending with the colonizers/developers. Hence, the scheme was not extended after 30^th September, 2021.

'Adiva'

Why in News

• On November 2, 2021, Jharkhand Livelihood Promotion Society Limited launched Adiva, a brand of traditional jewelry to promote and provide employment to local artisans.

Key Points

• The main objective of launching the brand 'Adiva' is to save the heritage tribal jewelry of the state and make rural women self-employed by connecting the state's traditional jewelry with a larger market through a new identity.
• It is an attempt to establish new dimensions of entrepreneurship by connecting the tribal jewelry made by the women of 'Sakhi Mandal' to the larger market.
• It is known that 'Flash Brand' has been started on the initiative of Chief Minister Hemant Soren to connect the products of Sakhi Mandal with big markets, which has increased the income of rural women. In this episode 'Adiva' has also been launched.
• JSLPS teams of all the districts of the state were added online in the launch program of Adiva.

Chhattisgarh Folk Literature Art and Youth Festival

• On November 1, 2021, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced to organize Chhattisgarh Lok Sahitya Kala and Yuva Mahotsav every year on the lines of tribal festivals to promote Chhattisgarhi art and culture on the occasion of State Foundation Day.

Key Points

• The celebration of this festival will start from January 12, 2022, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda (National Youth Day), which will last for three days.
• In this festival, litterateurs of all folk languages and dialects including Chhattisgarhi, Halbi, Gondi, Kudukh, Sarguji will be provided a big platform, while Pandwani, Bharthari, Sua and Panthi as well as folk artists of ancient dance and dance will also get a platform.

Tungnath Festival

• On November 1, 2021, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Tungnath Festival organized at Makkumath, the winter seat of Lord Tungnath.

• On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami announced to make Tungnath Mahotsav a district level festival and to open a health center in Makku village.
• It is noteworthy that in Panchkedar, the Tungnath Festival is organized on the arrival of the world famous Lord Tungnath's Chalvigraha festival Doli, the winter seat of Makkumath, in the name of Third Kedar.
