Why in news

On November 1, 2021, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the transparent composite cylinder.

Key points

  • It is being manufactured by IOCL. Indane plans to take it door-to-door in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Kanpur.
  • It is a three layer cylinder made of blow molded inner liner, which is covered with a composite layer of polymer fiber glass.
  • This cylinder is lightweight and rustproof and does not explode in case of fire. This will also help in preventing gas theft from cylinders.

The Budhni Toy Festival was virtually launched by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on November 1, 2021.

  • Budhni Toy Festival will be organized from 1st to 14th November, 2021 at Dussehra Ground in Budhni.
  • It is worth mentioning that Budhni is famous for wooden toys. In such a situation, the Chief Minister has spoken of taking initiative by the government for the betterment of the wood craftsmen of Budhni and to bring fame to Budhni's toys at national and international level.
  • Apart from this, the Chief Minister said that with a view to promote the toy art of Budhni and to create employment opportunities, a toy cluster would be formed in Budhni.

56th Haryana Day

Why in news

On November 1, 2021, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched several schemes along with the announcement of several public welfare schemes for the people of the state on the 56th Haryana Day.

Key Points

  • On the occasion of Haryana Day, the Chief Minister said that from November 1, 2021, 456 services of government departments would be available through family identity cards. Common people can take advantage of these schemes by visiting Saral Kendra, Antyodaya Kendra or Common Service Center.
  • The Chief Minister also announced waiving off the sentences of 250 prisoners lodged in various jails of Haryana or those who are currently on parole, whose sentence is six months or less. The release of such prisoners involved in common crimes will start from November 2, 2021. This declaration will not apply to prisoners convicted of heinous crimes.
  • Cyber helpdesks will be set up in all FIR registering police stations in the state from today to register complaints of cyber crimes. Apart from this, it has also been decided to set up cyber crime police stations in all the districts of Haryana in a phased manner over a period of one year.
  • The Chief Minister launched the biennial health check-up scheme for the employees of the Police Department. This scheme is for the employees of the age of 35 years or more and it will be applicable from January 1, 2022. Under this scheme, the policemen will not have to pay any money for medical examinations. The government will bear the entire cost of medical examination and will be paid directly to the agency.
  • All sub-divisional officers (civilians) and city magistrates of the State shall be designated as sub-registrars and joint sub-registrars in each district for the purposes of registration of documents relating to transfer of property, etc. Tehsildar and Naib-Tehsildar will also continue to be Joint Deputy Registrar.
  • The Chief Minister launched the Haryana Panchayat Guardian Scheme-2021 in the state with the aim of creating a system of rapid and holistic development under the Gram Panchayats. In this, the first class officers will be given the role of the guardian of the village panchayat. The Human Resource Department will be made the nodal department for this scheme.
  • To facilitate and streamline the recruitment process of employees on contract basis in Government Departments and Undertakings, Haryana Skill Development Corporation's One-Stop I.T. Portal launched.
  • The DC rate applicable in different districts will now be called Corporation Rate and this rate will be decided by the General Administration Department headed by the Chief Secretary. This rate will also be applicable to the employees appointed on contract basis through Skill Development Corporation.

Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana

Why in news

On November 1, 2021, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made online payment of an amount of Rs 1510 crore 81 lakh to 21 lakh rural farmers of the state under 'Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana' and 'Godhan Nyay Yojana' on the occasion of Rajyotsav.

Key Points

  • This amount includes Rs 1500 crore of the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Rs 10 crore 81 lakh as dividend to cow dung vendors, Gothan committees and women self-help groups under Godhan Nyay Yojana.
  • The Chief Minister said that in the last three years, the farmers of the state have produced paddy in abundance and the government has also procured ample paddy. The record of buying paddy every year in three years has been broken. This year one crore 5 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is expected to be procured.
  • He said that from December 1, the procurement of paddy at support price would start in the state. For the convenience of farmers under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the date of registration has been extended till November 10, 2021.
  • Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. Kamalpreet Singh said that with the encouragement of the Chhattisgarh government, farmers have entered the state and the farmers have increased towards the cultivation of Rabi crops. This year, the target is to sow rabi crops in 2 lakh 80 thousand hectares in the Rabi season.

'ZORAN'

Why in news

On November 1, 2021, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the online dashboard of 'Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme' and a gift pack of 'Zoran', a smart food version of Chhattisgarh's traditional cuisine prepared by women self-help groups, on the occasion of State Foundation Day.

Key Points

  • In order to make the Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme more accessible to the citizens, the dashboard of the Slum Health Scheme has been launched.
  • From the online dashboard of Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme, citizens will be able to take advance appointments for free treatment from the comfort of their homes. Also, you will be able to see when the mobile medical unit vehicle is going to arrive in their area.
  • The drug prescription and test report of the patients will also be available online on this dashboard. To take advantage of this scheme, citizens will have to register on the online dashboard.
  • It is noteworthy that on the special initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, a year ago on November 1, 2020, 'Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme' was launched with the aim of providing free and better health facilities to the citizens of the slum areas of the state.
  • Under this scheme, treatment facilities are being provided to the needy people in their locality through 60 mobile medical units in 14 municipal areas. In just one year, through Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme, more than 11 lakh citizens have been given free treatment and health benefits have been given to them.
  • Under the Urban Livelihood Mission, women of self-help groups of Raipur city have prepared millet smart food under the brand name 'Zoran'. 'Zoran' includes 14 smart food products such as Bajra ki Barfi, Darbha Coffee and Ragi Cookies, Bajra and Bastar Cashew Nut Cookies, Millet Pedia, Papchi, Typhari.
  • In Chhattisgarh, there is a tradition of giving dishes to the daughter in a jhanpi as a gift at the time of marriage, after which this gift pack has been named 'Zoran'.
  • On the occasion of festivals, people will be able to use this gift pack to give gifts to each other. The products made from millet by scientists have been termed as nutritious and smart food.

Mukhyamantri Ghasyari Kalyan Yojana

Why in news

Recently, 'Mukhyamantri Ghasyari Kalyan Yojana' was launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his one-day visit to Uttarakhand. Along with this, the work of computerization of all 670 multipurpose primary agricultural credit cooperative societies of the state was also duly completed.

Key Points

  • Under this scheme started under the cooperative department of the state, every woman of the animal husbandry family will be given a kit by the state government, which will include two hoe, two sickles, a water bottle and a tiffin.
  • Along with this, nutritious fodder will be supplied for animals in remote rural mountain areas through 7,771 centers under the scheme. Packaged silage and total mixed ration will be provided to livestock farmers in these areas.
  • With the implementation of this scheme, women will get freedom from the work of fodder and animal husbandry based economics of the state will improve, because agriculture and animal husbandry is the main source of livelihood of more than 70% population of the state.
