• On January 30, 2022, 14-year-old Unnati Hudna from Haryana became the youngest Indian player to win a Super 100 tournament by winning the women's singles title at the Odisha Open badminton tournament.

• Unnati won 21-18 and 21-11 over Smit Toshniwal in the final, while she defeated Malvika Bansod in the semi-finals.
• It may be mentioned that the Odisha Open, 2022 is a BWF Super 100 tournament, held from January 25 to 30, 2022 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack district.
• It was organized by the Badminton Association of India with the approval of the Badminton World Federation.
• The tournament had a total prize pool of US$75,000.
