Public Health and Engineering Minister laid the foundation stone of 13.27 MLD capacity water house in Patikara

Why in News?
On September 3, 2023, Haryana's Public Health and Engineering Minister Dr. Banwari Lal laid the foundation stone of the construction work of 13.27 MLD capacity water house in village Patikara in Mahendragarh district of the state.
Key Points:
- After the construction of this water house, supply of drinking water will be ensured from 70 liters per person per day in the entire area of the city council. Rs 235.16 lakh will be spent on the water house to be built in Patikara.
- On this occasion, the Public Health and Engineering Minister instructed the officials that sewerage facility is to be linked with drinking water under 'Amrit to Yojana' to ensure sewerage system of the city and drinking water of 135 liters per person per day.
- Public Health and Engineering Minister said that drinking water supply is being increased in the state as per the instructions of Chief Minister Manohar Lal. The construction work of Rs 172.49 lakh water house is in progress at Nirpur falling in Narnaul urban area. After the completion of the work of these two water houses, drinking water of 70 liters per day per person will be made available in the remaining area of the Municipal Council.
