Launch of 'B-Pax Membership Grand Campaign-2023'

Why in News?

On September 1, 2023, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the 'B-PACS Membership MahaAbhiyan-2023' at his official residence.

Key Points:

• B-PACS (Means Co-operative Societies) Membership Campaign-2023 (from 01 to 30 September 2023) is being organized in the entire state.
• On this occasion, an online portal https://wwwpacsmember.in/ and toll free number 1800212884444 were launched to join the B-PACS membership campaign.
• Instructions have been given to increase the credit limit to Rs 10 lakh for the purchase of fertilizers etc. in 7,500 PACS of the state.
• The Cooperation Department has been directed to conduct mapping for opening new branches of cooperative banks across the state.
• More than 300 e-facilities will be made available through PACS. Through this, short-term loans will be given in agriculture and agribusiness. All essential commodities related to agriculture such as seeds, fertilizers, machinery, pesticides will be made available.
• Through PACS, arrangements will be made to sell agricultural industry, agricultural produce, cottage industry and everyday things to the members.
• B-PACS stands for Resource Cooperative Campaign. B-PACS ((Sadhaan Sahakari Abhiyan)) is an integral part of the cooperative, which caters to various needs of the rural areas.
