Why In News?
Recently, forest department sources said that the design of Van Vihar National Park is being changed for the third time.
Key Points
- It may be noted that in January 2021, Chief Minister Chouhan had instructed the Forest Department officials to develop Van Vihar like Singapore Zoo in a meeting. After this, its drawing-design was made by SS Rajput, CEO of Eco Tourism Board.
- Van Vihar was being built on the lines of The Singapore's Zoo. There were to be many kinds of innovations, especially on the design of Gate No. 1. The selfie point near the waterfall that fell here, the Scoie Walk was to be made near the Leopard Enclosure. Now only the new design of Gate No.1 is being made, which will be built on the lines of Bhimbetka.
- Sources in the forest department said that in the drying-design approved by the committee, the eco-tourism officials found a number of loopholes. After that, a new design was created. The design was rejected as there was no consensus between the officials of Van Vihar and Eco Tourism.
