According to information received from the media on December 19, 2023, Uttarakhand has been awarded the best state award in adventure tourism.

- This award was presented to Uttarakhand by the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI).
- This award program was held in Kevadiya, Gujarat where Uttarakhand Secretary Tourism Sachin Kurve received the award.
- Secretary Tourism Sachin Kurve said that for the first time a Paragliding Acro Festival was organised in Tehri Lake, in which 54 pilots from 26 countries participated.
- Secretary Tourism Sachin Kurve said that Aero Safari with Gyrocopter has been started in the country from Uttarakhand.
- It should be noted that Uttarakhand has a lot of potential in river rafting, paragliding, aero sports, mountaineering, trekking etc.
