2023, in a high-level meeting held at the government level, it has been decided that books will be given free of cost to the students of class 9th to 12th.
Key Points:
- Students studying in class 9th to class 12th in 2428 government secondary schools in Uttar Pradesh will also be given free books.
- For this, the government will have to spend extra. The government will spend Rs 19.70 crore to make these books available.
- There are many more states in the country, where this facility is given to students already studying in government schools. These include Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Now Uttar Pradesh will also be included in this list.
