- According to information received from the media on February 22, 2023, two constables of Uttarakhand Police Faizan Ali and Rajesh Kunwar have been awarded the Prime Minister's Defence Police Medal. The medal was presented to him by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel.

- In the year 2019, the two constables had rescued six members of a family trapped in a house in Raipur when a parked car caught fire.
- State DGP Ashok Kumar said that the All-India Police Duty Meet was organized in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal from 13 to 17 February. It was during this program itself that the medal was announced for both the soldiers.
- It is noteworthy that on the night of July 5, 2019, a car caught fire at a house in Dashmesh Vihar Colony under Raipur police station area of Dehradun. On information, Constable Faizan Ali and Constable Rajesh Kunwar, appointed on Cheetah duty, immediately reached there. Constables Faizan and Rajesh saved the lives of six people with their presence of mind without caring for their lives.
