On January 1, 2022, two new campaigns were started by the School Education Department in Chhattisgarh. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister TS Singhdeo and School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam launched both these campaigns.
Key Points
- From the program organized at the Government Higher Secondary School of District Headquarters Ambikapur, both the ministers joined the virtual program and started a 100-day campaign for the development of reading and mathematical skills of the children and Vocational Education Course-Skill Hub Initiative program for the school children.
- Announcing the launch of both the schemes, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam said that a state-wide 100-day reading and mathematical skill development program is being started to reduce the learning loss of children due to closure of schools due to Corona.
- This hundred day program has been prepared for three levels. The first level covers children from Anganwadi to class II, the second level covers children from classes III to V and the third level covers children from classes VI to VIII.
- This program is divided into 14 weeks. For each week, a different theme will be shared in Language and Mathematics. All the necessary efforts will be made by the teachers to make them compulsorily proficient by making this theme very well practiced throughout the week by all the children of the class.
- Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam said that the Skill Hub Initiative program for out-of-school children is being initiated for the first time in the state based on holistic education and vocational education at the school level.
