Why is News?

• On September 1, 2023, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya released the books published as four abridged versions of Valmiki Ramayana by Ramayana Prasar Parishodh Pratishthan located in Ambala district of the state.

Key Points:

• The Governor was apprised that Ramayana will be translated into 435 languages and at present 15 languages have been translated and translation work is going on in 13 languages.
• The Secretary of the Foundation informed about the plan of other research works and said that the objective of this scheme is to make constitutionally and development-based policy-based on Valmiki Ramayana, to draft evaluation.
