According to information received from the media on September 1, 2023, after the former CDS and former Army Chief, now Rajesh Bhandari, a resident of Tehri in Uttarakhand, has been made Deputy Chief of Air Force.

- Rajesh Bhandari has been appointed as Assistant Chief of Air Staff at Air Force Headquarters in New Delhi.
- It is known that Rajesh Bhandari received his education in Dehradun. He was a commissioned officer in the Air Force on December 15, 1990. He was then promoted to the rank of Air Commodore on February 1, 2022.
- Before this, Air Marshal Vijaypal Singh Rana, resident of Nelda village in Pratap Nagar assembly constituency, had reached a high position in the Air Force. He was the first officer from Tehri and the second officer from Uttarakhand to reach the post of Advisor to the Air Chief Marshal.
