State's Purvanchal University joins top Universities of the country, gets A+ rank in NAAC

On December 20, 2023, Vice Chancellor of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Prof. Vandana Singh said that the university has joined the top universities of the country by achieving A+ grade in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) grading.
Key Points
- It may be noted that Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University has received A Plus grading in the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC) after a long exercise. The NAAC team had conducted on-site inspections in the university from December 3 to 5. After this the result has been released.
- The university achieved B+ grade in NAAC in the year 2016, which ended in 2020. After this, due to Covid and other reasons the university could not apply for it for two years.
- After the NAAC evaluation report released in Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, the university will get a good opportunity to participate in all the universities of the country and state. The university will now become the center of education in Purvanchal. New startups will start, multinational companies will be called for campus selection.
- Vice Chancellor Prof. Vandana Singh said that now students from abroad and other states of the country will also be attracted to study. After getting A+ grade, the central government will provide crores of rupees for sports resources and skill development and entrepreneurship.
- He said that the university will now apply for National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking.
