Why In News?
- On October 31, 2022, the Chhattisgarh State Finance Commission launched a web portal and mobile app to provide easy information from gram panchayats.
Key Points
- In order to prepare its recommendations on the basis of sufficient data and to get information from Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies, the commission has prepared web portal SFC-eInfo and mobile app.
- The information of each panchayat will be easily available from the web portal and mobile app prepared by the commission. A huge database will be prepared from the information received from 11 thousand 664 panchayats. Which can be used at different levels of government.
- It is noteworthy that the State Finance Commission is constituted every 5 years to strengthen the economic condition of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies.
