Why in News?
- On July 6, 2022, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami felicitated 10 participants at the 'Start-up Grand Challenge' event organized by the Department of Industry in Dehradun. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released the Wellness Report prepared by Invest India.
Key Points
- For the promotion of start-ups, 10 young participants of the state were awarded the Grand Challenge Award for Best Innovation Idea. An amount of 50-50 thousand rupees was given as an award.
- In the program, Chief Minister Dhami increased the incentive amount given as 'Idea Great Challenge' under Start-up Uttarakhand from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh and monthly allowance given to start-ups from Rs 10,000 to Rs. Announced to increase it to 15 thousand rupees.
- Along with this, an announcement was made by Chief Minister Dhami to increase the monthly allowance given to SC, ST, disabled and women from Rs 15 thousand to Rs 20 thousand.
