Soldiers decorated with Tatrakshak Medal will also get the facilities in the state

Why in News?
On June 28, 2023, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also given the necessary approval to give the benefit of facilities provided by the state government under the Rajasthan Shaurya Puraskar (Cash Award and Land Grant) Rules 1966 to the soldiers awarded the Coast Guard Medal in the state.
Key Points:
- According to the proposal, the President's Coast Guard Medal holders will be given Rs 6 lakh in cash along with Rs 25 lakh in cash in lieu of 25 bighas of irrigated land or land.
- Similarly, Rs 30,000 cash will be given to coast guard medal holders and Rs 25 lakh in cash in lieu of 25 bighas of irrigated land or land. These benefits will be payable to the medal holders from January 26, 1990.
- It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had announced this regard in the budget year 2023-24.
