- Recently, in the ranking released by NITI Aayog from March to June, Sheikhpura district of Bihar has been ranked seventh in the whole country with 'good ranking'.
Key Points
- The district wise ranking has been released by NITI Aayog keeping in view the circumstances arising due to Covid.
- In the ranking of districts released by NITI Aayog, Chandel of Manipur is at first place, Sahibganj of Jharkhand is at second place and Ferozepur of Punjab is at third place.
- According to NITI Aayog, the condition of Sheikhpura is poor in agriculture, education, financial inclusion & skill development and basic infrastructure.
- On getting the seventh position in the ranking, an additional allocation of Rs 3 crores will be given by the central government to the health department of the district.
