Why in News?
- On July 5, 2022, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that the state government will soon implement the 'Haryana Self-Reliant Textile Policy, 2022-25' in the state. This will give a boost to the textile industry in the state, as well as give a boost to MSMEs.

- Dushyant Chautala said that while the state has secured the third position at the national level in the MSME sector, Haryana has got a place in the top achievers category in the fifth edition of 'State Ease of Doing Business' released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also honoured Haryana for its outstanding work done in the field of MSMEs.
- He said that it is because of the commitment of the Haryana government to provide a conducive ecosystem to the industries that Haryana has got excellent ranking in 'Ease of Doing Business', 'Ease of Logistics' and 'Export Readiness'.
- In addition, the State has got the first position in the Export Preparedness Index (Landlocked Category), 2021 and second in the 'Logistics ease Of Across The Different Status Survey, 2021'.
- Dushyant Chautala informed that the state government's Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy, 2020, MSME Policy, 2019, Haryana Agri-Business and Food Processing Policy, 2018 etc. are some of the policies which have greatly benefited the MSMEs of the state and increased the employment opportunities for the youth.
