Why In New?
- In the National Family Planning Conference held in New Delhi on July 27, 2022, under the Family Welfare Program, Rajasthan has been rewarded at the national level for the achievements of ensuring accessible services of family planning means 'intra contraceptive injection' for women in the state.

- Dr. Bharti Praveen Panwar, Union Minister of State for Health has presented this award. Rajasthan got this award of second place, Director RCH Dr.K. Ale. Meena and Project Director Family Welfare Dr. Girish Dwivedi received.
- The Government Secretary, Medical and Health Department of Rajasthan, Dr. Prithvi informed that the Antararaj application, e-counselling, e-learning module have been implemented for easy availability of family welfare means, intra-injection, follow-up and intensive monitoring in the state. As a result, so far more than 5 lakh women have adopted this tool in the state. So far, a total of 10 lakh intra-injection doses have been administered.
- It is worth noting that Antara injection is a safe temporary contraceptive option to prevent unwanted pregnancy and to keep the gap between children. This injection, which is given at an interval of three months, gives relief from unwanted pregnancies for three months or for 90 days if administered once.
