Second Badminton Talent Search Competition Started in Bhagalpur

Why In News?
On September 28, 2023, the 2nd Badminton Talent Search Competition was started by the Bihar State Sports Authority at the Indoor Stadium located in Bhagalpur.
Key Points:
- The programme will continue till September 30. More than 240 players from different districts of the state are participating in it.
- The second badminton talent program Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 boys and girls' competitions will be organized at The Indoor Stadium in Bhagalpur.
- District Sports Officer Jainarayan Kumar said that the selected players will be trained at the Gopichand Badminton Academy run by the Bihar State Sports Authority in Hyderabad.
- Anshika Arya of Samastipur became the winner in the Under-15 girls category in the match played on the first day. Yashika Anand of Lakhisarai was the runner-up. In the Under-17 girls category, Shivangi Kumari of Khagaria was the winner and Riya Kumari of Madhubani was the runner-up.
