1 new Sanskrit School in Bikaner & 18 Sanskrit Schools in the state will be upgraded

Why in News?
14 May 2023, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to open 1 new Sanskrit school in Bikaner district and upgrade 18 Sanskrit schools in different districts of the state.
Key Points:
- In this, 5 Sanskrit primary schools in different districts will be upgraded to upper primary schools, 8 Sanskrit upper primary schools and 5 Praveshika (secondary) Sanskrit schools will be upgraded to ‘Varishtha Upadhyay’.
- It is known that the state government is trying to establish new schools and upgrade various schools to promote Sanskrit education.
- With this decision of the state government, with the opening of more centres of Sanskrit education, students will get opportunities to study nearby.
- It is worth mentioning that the announcement in this regard was made by the Chief Minister in the Budget-2023-24.
