- Recently, Infosys has resumed the restoration of 200 temple clusters of Bateshwar located in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.
Key Points
- The work of conservation of Bateshwar temple groups was started in the year 2005 by the then Regional Superintendent of Archaeological Survey of India KK Muhammad.
- Between 2005 and 2011, 60 temples were renovated.
- These temples are dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Shakti, that is they represent the three major traditions of Hinduism (Shaiva, Vaishnava and Shakta).
- According to the Archaeological Directorate of Madhya Pradesh, this group of 200 temples was built during the reign of the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty.
