Restoration of Bateshwar Temples | 22 Feb 2022

Recently, Infosys has resumed the restoration of 200 temple clusters of Bateshwar located in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.

The work of conservation of Bateshwar temple groups was started in the year 2005 by the then Regional Superintendent of Archaeological Survey of India KK Muhammad.
Between 2005 and 2011, 60 temples were renovated.
These temples are dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Shakti, that is they represent the three major traditions of Hinduism (Shaiva, Vaishnava and Shakta).
According to the Archaeological Directorate of Madhya Pradesh, this group of 200 temples was built during the reign of the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty.
