Psychological Counselling Centres to be established in Jodhpur & Kota | 30 Jun 2023

Why in News?

On June 28, 2023, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot approved the establishment of psychological counselling centres in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota medical colleges of the state.

Key Points:

• Along with setting up a psychological counselling centre, approval has also been given to purchase the necessary furniture and equipment for this.
• According to the proposal, these centres will be operated on the available space in the medical college/hospital. Approval has also been given to hire the services of 3 Clinical Psychologists, 6 Counsellors, 4 Ward Boys/ Security Guards/ Attendants and 2 Machines with a Man on contract for each institute.
• It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had announced in this regard in the budget year 2023-24.
