Why In News?
On 25 January 2023, the Election Commission of India announced the winners of the National Voter Awareness Competition-2022 on National Voters Day 2023. In this, 4 participants from Chhattisgarh have been selected as winners.
Key points
- Harshita Patel of Dhamtari, Arvind Kumar Yadav of Durg in video, Abhay Sanvedkar and Ashish Sawant of Bastar have won in the category of song education.
- Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh Reena Babasaheb Kangale congratulated all the winners for this achievement who have brought laurels to the state in the whole country.
- It is noteworthy that the Election Commission of India had organized the National Voter Awareness Competition-2022 on January 25, 2022, the 12th National Voters Day, to emphasize the importance of each vote through artistic expression.
- The competition was held in five genres which included songs, videos, posters, slogans and quizzes. Participants of all My vote is my future ages participated with the theme ': the power of a vote'.
