- Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Limited (RSMML) and its Barmer Lignite Mining Company Limited were awarded the 'National Safety Award' (Mining) on March 8, 2022.

- These prestigious awards were presented to the representatives of the winning mines in a program organized by the Union Minister of Labor and Employment at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
- Tulsi Ram Agrawal, Executive Director, Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Limited said that these national level awards have been given in view of the excellent safety performance of the mines during the last four years.
- RSMML has been awarded the 'National Security Award' for the year 2019 and 2020 and Barmer Lignite Mining Company Limited for the year 2017 and 2018.
- Group General Manager (Limestone) PR Prajapat, Group General Manager (Projects) Om Patel and Blasters Ashish Gilbert received these awards for the year 2019 and 2020 on behalf of RSMML at the function.
- It is noteworthy that this national level award is given annually to coal, metal and oil mines in two categories to develop health competition among the safety parameters of mines by the Union Ministry of Labor and Employment.
- Under these awards, stringent safety parameters such as zero accident rate for three consecutive years, complete safety of the workers working in the mine and regular health check-up are kept in view.
