Why in News?
- Recently, the Minutes of the Meeting related to the meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife, held on December 31, 2021, was published, in which several projects including border posts and Ayurveda Institute were approved in protected areas and environmentally sensitive areas.
Key Points
- The National Institute of Ayurveda will be constructed in an area of 8.04 hectares at a cost of Rs.5 crore in the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board premises in Panchkula.
- The National Institute of Ayurveda, being set up in Panchkula by the Ministry of AYUSH for the conservation of medicinal plants, will play an important role not only in the conservation of medicinal plants, but also in connecting the public with the protection of nature.
- Ayurveda is an Indian system of medicine. Sushruta, Charaka and Dhanvantari are considered to be its main teachers. It is AYUSH.
