Why in News?
On October 28, 2022, 'Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana', run under Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority, was awarded the national level Scotch Silver Award-2022 for providing quality and employment based free skill training.

- The state of Chhattisgarh, which has achieved the distinction of the state with the lowest unemployment rate in the country, has been honored with this proud honor at the national level.
- In order to provide better skill development training to the youth of Chhattisgarh, the Skill Development Authority is giving quality training to the youth as per their interest. After getting training, youth are constantly adopting self-employment along with getting jobs in government and non-government departments.
- It is worth noting that so far 4 lakh 68 thousand 184 youth have been trained under Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, out of which 2 lakh 55 thousand 678 youth have been employed. Presently 2726 youth are under training.
