Why In News?
- Recently, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to launch the 'Mukhya Mantri Nagar Nirman Yojana' for new civic bodies. For this, he reviewed the development works of the newly formed body areas.
Key Points
- The Chief Minister directed the officials to prepare to launch the 'Mukhya Mantri Nagar Nirman Yojana' for development of basic civic amenities in the newly created, expanded or upgraded civic bodies.
- The scheme will be useful for sewerage, drinking water, parking, sanitation, beautification of intersections, street lighting, community centres, road construction, setting up of schools and anganwadi centres in these new urban areas.
- The Chief Minister said that the works being done under this scheme should be closely monitored. There should be complete transparency and quality in this work. Innovation pre-fab/pre cost concrete construction technology should be used in construction and development works.
