MoU signed between CSJMU and Russian University

Why in News?
According to the information received from the media on 15 May 2023, an MoU has been signed between Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and Perstrozabosk State University of Russia, under which students enrolled in Kanpur will now get a chance to study in Russia.
Key Points:
- The MoU was signed between Professor Vinay Pathak, Vice-Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) and Professor Marina Gosdeva, Head of the International Department of the University, Russia.
- This is the first international agreement of the university. With this, the students of CSJMU will not only be able to study with teachers from abroad but will also do research with the students there. It is known that till now this facility was available only to the students of IITs.
- It is known that the QS ranking of this Russian university is 260.
- After this agreement lecture series, joint research program, faculty exchange program, and students exchange program will be started. The students of Kanpur will go to Russia to study for some time and the students from there will come to the city.
- Professor Marina Gosdeva informed about various ongoing research & projects in Russia and said that her university is a leader in research in the field of diabetes & construction. Soon a joint research program of students and teachers will also be started.
