Why In New?
- On July 27, 2022, The Minister of Cooperation of Haryana, Dr. Banerjee Lal, while chairing a review meeting of the officials of cooperative societies and Harco Bank, said that on the lines of Haryana Central Co-operative Bank, a one-time payment scheme will be formulated soon for PACS consumers so that PACS consumers can also avail the benefits of the scheme.
Key Points
- The Cooperation Minister said that all the PACS of the state will be computerized at the earliest. 751 packs of the state are being computerized. In the first phase, 307 packs are being computerized. In the second phase the remaining PACS will also be computerized.
- He said that NABARD will inspect the computerized PACS as a pilot project, so the work of uploading the data of the PACS and making them online soon should be done. For this, a training workshop for the employees will be held at Panchkula soon.
- Under the one-time payment scheme implemented for the state's Central Co-operative Bank consumers, Rs. 28.09 crore has been recovered so far. There are 24397 members of the cooperative banks, out of which 1207 members have availed of the one time payment scheme.
