Liver and Kidney Transplant Centre to be built in Rohtak

Why in News?
According to the information given by a government spokesman of Haryana on July 26, 2023, for the treatment of serious diseases related to liver and kidney in the state, patients will soon get the facility of liver and kidney transplant at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (PGIMS) located in Rohtak district.
Key Points:
- In this regard, Chief Minister Manohar Lal has approved the proposal of the Medical Education and Research Department.
- An official spokesman said that the state government is constantly providing better health facilities to the people of the state. In this series, along with setting up of the Transplant Center at PGIMS, Rohtak, manpower has also been approved.
- The posts of 3 liver transplant surgeons, 2 renal transplant surgeons and 2 nephrologists have also been approved for this centre.
